Hayatı Hakkında

20 aralık 1990 Boston doğumlu teenage şarkıcı Jojo'yu duymadık, görmedik demeyin sakın. Bu yaşta bu yetenek, pes doğrusu dedirten Jojo, daha bebekken (şimdi ne ki diyenlerinize hak vermiyor değiliz) Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, Whitney Houston dinlemeye alışmış. İşin canlı performans tarafını ise kilise şarkıcısı olan annesinin çalışmalarını dinleye dinleye kapmış. Haliyle, bu müzik dolu evde kaçınılmaz olan şey gerçekleşmiş ve daha iki yaşında çocuk şarkıları söylemeye başlamış.

Daha okula başlamadan, CBS kanalındaki "Kids Say Darnets Things" programında şarkı söylemiş. 2001 yılında, Gospelfest'de Whitney Houston'un hit şarkısı "I Believe In You and Me"yi beklenmedik bir başarıyla seslendirmiş. Hatta Whitney'in annesi Cissy Houston tarafından tebrik bile edilmiş. Hayatında dönüm noktası sayılabilecek "Amerika'nın En Yetenekli Çocukları" programında, ünlü prodüktör Vincent Herbert tarafından keşfedilmiş; her ne kadar birinciliği başkasına kaptırmış olsa da...

Albüm çıkartana kadar geçirdiği rengarenk 7 yıl içinde irili ufaklı birçok televizyon şovunda ve yarışmada yer kapmış. İki kere albüm teklifi de almış ama annesi yaşı nedeniyle bunu uygun bulmamış, Jojo da iyi bir kız olarak annesini dinleyip teklifleri reddetmiş. 13 yaşına geldiğinde annesinin de onayıyla nihayet stüdyoya girmiş. Dört ay boyunca Soulshock & Karlin (Whitney Houston, Craig David), Vincent Herbert (Destiny's Child, Toni Braxton), Mike City (Brandy) gibi ünlü prodüktörlerle çalışmış ve albümünün kayıtlarını tamamlamış. Bu kayıtlar sırasında yalnızca sesini değil, hissettiklerini ve düşündüklerini de ortaya koymak isteyen Jojo, üç şarkının (Keep on, Keepin' On, Yes or No ve Sunshine) sözlerini de yazmış.

Albüm içinde en sevdiği şarkı, sözlerini kendisinin yazdığı "Keep on, Keepin' On". Bu şarkı için küçüklüğünde çektiği (evet, küçüklüğünde, yani daha da küçükken!) zorluklardan yola çıktığını söylüyor: "Annemle o tek odalı küçük dairede yaşıyorduk. Geçinmeye çalıştığımız para çok azdı. Bu şarkıyı yazdım çünkü zor dönemler yaşayanın sadece ben olmadığımı biliyorum."

Jojo kızımız, kısa sürede sesiyle, yeteneğiyle ve ne yalan söyleyelim güzelliğiyle ilgi çekti. Özellikle kendi yaşıtı erkekler arasında geniş bir hayran kitlesi edindi. Şimdiden her yerde tanınıyor, radyolarda şarkıları sıkça çalınıyor. Tabii küçük yaşta büyük paralar kazanmak, çok yabancı bir dünyaya adım atmak, olduğundan büyük gözükmeye çalışmak, Jojo, Ashlee Simpson gibi çocukların psikolojisini nasıl etkiliyor, bu konuda pek konuşulmuyor. Bu yetenekli kız, umarız eğlence dünyasının kısa süreli bir malzemesi olarak kalmaz ve büyüdüğünde de şarkılarını hala dinliyor olabiliriz

yaaa bn seviorumm ama açıkçasıı dha yeni keşfettimm filmini isledim çok başarılı bi oyunculuk çıkarmış bnce adı denizden gelen kız mutlaka seyret yağğğmur gerçekten süperr haa bu arada sen de mi asi yıllar fanısın :)

Gerçek ismi Joanna Noelle Levesque olan JoJo, müzik hayatına babasının Blues vokalisti ve annesinin kilise korosunda yer alması gibi avantajlarla başladı. Aquamarinenin konusu

13 yaşında ve birbirlerinin en iyi arkadaşı olan Claire (Emma Roberts) ve Hailey’nin(Jojo) hayatı havuzlarında Aquamarine adında bir deniz kızı bulmalarıyla bir anda değişir ve iki arkadaş kendilerini inanılmaz bir macerada bulur. Şarkı sözlerini nasıl yazıyorsun?
Her şey bana ilham veriyor. Yanımda küçük bir not defter taşıyorum ve kısa kısa notlar alıp sonradan onları şarkı sözlerine çeviriyorum. Londra'ya son gidişimde gözüme bir türlü uyku girmedi. Ben de kalkıp tam 6 şarkı yazdım. Sürekli yazıyorum.

Alışverişe bayıldığını biliyoruz. Peki, hiç giyim hatasına düştüğün oldu mu?
Şeyy. Aquamarine'in (Denizden gelen kız) galasında küçük çaplı bir moda faciası yaşamıştım... Hoş bir kıyafet seçtiğimi düşünüyordum, ama sanırım pek uygun düşmedi ve beklediğim etkiyi yaratmadı.

Favori giyim tarzın nedir?
Dar kesimli kotlar ve büstiyerler çok hoş duruyor. Kemerler de, belinizin inceliğini vurgulamak için ideal.
