1974 yılında İzmit’te doğdum. Lise yıllarında tiyatroyla tanıştım. 1990 yılında da amatör tiyatroya başladım. Oradan da buraya kadar geldik.

Tatlı Kaçıklar, Affet Bizi Hocam, Böyle mi Olacaktı, Şapkadan Babam Çıktı, Deliyürek adlı dizilerde rol aldım. Fasülye adlı 35lik sinema filminde oynadım. 7 yıl Dormen tiyatrosunda oyunculuk yaptım.

Müzik dinlemeyi çok seviyorum. Özelikle Etnik müzikleri ve dünya müziklerini dinliyorum
Önceden resim yapardım, karakalem çizerdim. Şimdilerde heykelcikler yapıyorum. El yatkınlığım biraz vardır. Herhangi bir eğitim almadım, kendi kendime yapıyorum. Bunların dışında, klarnet çalmayı öğrenmek istiyorum.

Evimdeki aksesuarları, kullandığım eşyaları kendim yapmayı seviyorum.
Kurtlar Vadisi’nden sonra insanların sevgisini kazandım. Bundan çok büyük keyif duyuyorum, bu en güzel değer bence. İnsanlar beni Kurtlar Vadisi’yle tanıdı. Bu dizi sayesinde “beğenilen” bir oyuncu oldum. Hayatımda olumlu ve güzel değişiklikler oldu.

Televizyon dizilerinde rol almaya 1995 yılında başladım. Kurtlar Vadisi ekibiyle de Deliyürek döneminde tanıştım. Deliyürek’in ardından bu dizi için beni düşünmüşler. Kurtlar Vadisi’ne başlamam böyle oldu.

Bu aralar tiyatro yok, bir boşluk oldu. Dizi oldukça fazla vaktimi alıyor. Ama tiyatro çok daha farklı, yaşanan heyecan çok daha farklı. Tiyatro yapmayı çok istiyorum.(kaynak:kurtlarvadisi.com)

gürkan uygunu 3 sene boyunca memati rolünde seyrettik bakalım bundan sonraki projelerde nasıl karakterlere bürünecek ama mematiyi unutturacak bir rol oynaması lazım yoksa mutlaka seyirci bu mematiyle kıyaslar işi zor valla bu arada yerli oyuncular bölümünde necati şaşmaz başlığı yok galiba şaşırdım açıkcası nasıl açılmamış bir başlık necati şaşmaz adına yada ben görmedim gözümden kaçtı...

Ben Gürkan Uygun'u namıdeğer Mematiyi daha öncede çeşitli dizilerde görmüştüm. Ama benim dikkatimi çektiği proje unutulmaz dizi Kurtlar Vadisi oldu. Memati rolünü çok iyi yapıyor. Gerçekten hayatta dizideki karakteri ile bir benzerliği olmamasına rağmen sanki gerçekten oluyormuş gibi oynuyor. Gürkan Uygun giderek oyunculuğunu yükseltiyor. Kurtlar Vadisi gibi güzel projelerde kendisini görmek isterim.

ÖLMEK YAKIŞIRDI MEMATİ'YE

'Kurtlar Vadisi'nin soğukkanlı tetikçisi Memati'nin adı 'ölüm' anlamına geliyormuş. Memati'yi ve dolayısıyla ölümü canlandıran Gürkan Uygun'u kendi ismiyle hatırlayan da bilen de yok. Oysa onun aktörlük geçmişi vadiyle başlamıyor.

bir kere müthiş bir oyuncu oynadığı rol bence çok zor bir roldü ve bu işi çok iyi yaptı memati ye çok güzel hayat verdi ve kurtlar vadisinde en çok izlemek istediğim sahneler polat memati sahneleriydi
ikinci olarak müthiş gözlere sahip göz rengine bayılıyorum ve ona çok yakışıyor
inşallah necati şaşmazla birlikte tekrar tv ekranlarına döner onların ayrılmasını kesinlikle istemiyorum......

bendee gürkan uygun'un PANA film^'den ayrılmasını istemem.. Necati Şaşmaz'la aynı karede görmeye alıştımm.. ama böyle bişi olacağını zannetmiyorum, kurtlar vadisi yeniden başlamassa..

Bence büyük ihtimal beraber oynuyacaklar. Çünkü Necati Şaşmaz röpörtajlarından birinde Kurtlar Vadisi ekibi ile yeni bir proje yapıyoruz demişti. Zaten bundan sonra kolay kolay ayrılacaklarını sanmıyorum. Çünkü herkes onları bir takım olarak gördü.

Geçenlerde Tatlı Kaçıklar'ın tekrar bölümlerinde rastladım. "Ya nerden hatırlıyorum ben bu Memati'yi???" soruma cevap vermiş oldu. Kurtlar Vadisi'nin haşin bakışlı, kodummu oturtan Memati'si meğer yıllar önce Tatlı Kaçıklar'da aerobik salonu gibi bir yerde çalışan uçuk kaçık bi gençmiş.

gürkan uygunu çok severim.atinalı timonu izlemiştim.o herzamanki gibi çok iyiydi.ama oyun çok kötüydü.oyunda Haluk Bilginer,Sermiyan Midyat,Öner Erkan, var

Yedi Numaranin bir bolumunde konuk oyuncu olarak katilmisti o gunden beri baska bir sempatikligi vardir benim gozumde...Cok basarili ve yetenekli bir oyuncu umarim boyle devam eder...

Gerçekten harika bir oyuncu çok etkileyici ve doğal bir tarzı var. Kurtlar Vadisinde en beğendiğim oyuncuydu. İnşallah en kısa sürede TV lere döner.

Kartal`da önceki gün `Nima Zaree` mağazasının açılışına Kurtlar Vadisi oyuncularından ‘Memati’ lakaplı Gürkan Uygun ve oyuncu Ali Sürmeli katıldı. Sürmeli, açılış işini yaptıktan sonra basın mensuplarıyla röportaj yapmak istemediğini söyleyerek mağazadan ayrıldı. Kurtlar Vadisi dizisinden ve filminden sonra ortalarda gözükmeyen Gürkan Uygun ise dizilerin daha yarım sezona bile gelmeden yayından kaldırılmasıyla ilgili olarak, “O kadar fazla dizi var ki bu çok normal. Sanki bu da yetmiyormuş gibi 3 günde, 5 günde senaryo yazıp, yayınlayanlar var” dedi. Kurtlar Vadisi dizisinin devamının çekileceği söylentilerine yönelik olarak ise, "Benim de kulağıma geliyor öyle şeyler, ama kesin olarak şirketimden öyle bir şey duymadım" dedi.

Kurtlar Vadisi’nin kilit isimlerinden Memati’nin çok ilginç bir yönünü öğrendi Flas Magazin...

Ağır abi Memati, meğer ne hamaratmış ne hamarat mutfakta... Sesinin güzel olduğunu anlatırken Memati Flas Magazin’a, bir de ilginç bir itirafta bulundu. Sadece evde bulaşık yıkarken türkü söylediğini belirten Memati, “İyi yemek yapamam ama bulaşıkları benden daha temiz yıkayanı olmaz” dedi.

Ne hünerler varmış Memati’de de haberimiz yokmuş..

mc_merve önemli değil.... Gürkan Uygun'un bu özelliklerini ilk kez duyuyorum.Ne marifetleri varmış. Ben çok severim Gürkan Uygun'u. Hatta Pana Film'den ayrılmasını hiç istemem; çünkü kaliteli projelerde yer almaya layık birisi. İnşallah Pana Film'in başka bir projesinde yer alır.
