Gıcır gıcır takım elbiselerin üzerindeki ince açık renk çizgiler her daim moda; modern erkeklerin küçümsediği şapkalar ise takana karakter kazandırıyor. Çikolata rengi takım elbise, kravat ve parlak ipek şeritli şapkalar Johnny Depp gibi esmer erkeklerde kötü durmuyor.
Depp bebek yüzlü oyunculardan biri. Saçlarını uzatmasının, sakal ve bıyık bırakmasının nedeni belki de bebek yüzündeki masumiyeti örtme isteği. Saçları da asla yerli yerinde durmuyor, sürüden ayrılmak isteyen birkaç tel hep yerinden fışkırıyor, perçemler yüzüne düşüyor. Saçlarını taramadığı çok açık, belli ki eliyle şekil veriyor.
Depp incik boncuksuz da dışarı çıkmıyor. "Karayip Korsanları"nın devam filminin galasında etnik takılarının yanına bir de kızı Lily-Rose'un yaptığı bir plastik kolye, onun ismini taşıyan bir madalyon ve 1986'da rol aldığı "Platoon"daki deri bilekliğinin bir kopyasını taktı. Çocuklara olan düşkünlüğü Depp'in kadınlar tarafından sevilmesinin bir başka nedeni.
Depp 1980'lerin başından beri dövme yaptırıyor ve vücudunda 12'den fazla dövme var. The New York Times'a "Benim için anlamı olan tüm deneyimleri cildime kaydediyorum" demişti. Sağ kolunda oğlunun, kalbinin üzerinde kızı Lily-Rose'un ismi yazıyor. Sağ pazısında ise Çeroki kökenlerine atıfta bulunan bir Kızılderili dövmesi var.
1940'lı yıllara gönderme yapan takım elbiseleri, şapkaları ve ayakkabıları birer Johnny Depp klasiği olsa da şimdiye dek verdiği demeçlerde Depp kendini iyi giyimli bir adam olarak görmediğini tekrarlayıp durdu: "Üç yaşındayken annem ve babam Cadılar Bayramı'nda bana serseri kostümü giydirdi. O günle bugün arasındaki tek fark, bugün sakal bırakmaya kalktığımda asla onların boyadıkları kadar çok çıkmaması." Yoksa dediği gibi, serseri görünümünden hiçbir şey kaybetmedi. İnsan 7'sinde neyse 70'inde de o gerçekten.

Tıpkı Buz Devri gibi ilk örneği bir ‘kült’ olan film var karşımızda. Ve ne yazık ki ikincisi için ne kadar iyimser olmayı denesek de aynı şeyleri söyleyebilmek mümkün değil...

Filmin vizyona girmesinden hemen önce ilk defa bir Disney filmine yaş sınırlaması getirilmesi tartışmaları yaşanmıştı. (Nitekim 13 yaş sınırlaması getirilmişti) Gerçi Disney gibi merkezine çocuk algısını koyarak film çeken bir şirket için sıra dışı gibi görünse de, vizyona giren film yapımcıları bile şaşırtan başarılı bir sinema ürünüydü… Birazdan bu bahse tekrar dönmek üzere, ‘korsan’ filmlerinden bahsetmek gerekiyor sanırım.
Takma gözler, kanca kollar, tahta bacaklar, kurukafalarıyla korsan filmlerin tarihi neredeyse sinema tarihi kadar eskiye dayanıyor. Macera türünün vazgeçilmez ürünleri arasına giren korsan filmleri geçmişte parıltılı dönemler yaşamış. Çoğunlukla kötü, nadiren de olsa iyi kalp taşıyan bu hırpani kılıklı deniz eşkıyaları sinema perdesinde güzel örnekler vermiş. Errol Flynli, Yull Brynnerli, Burt Lancesterli siyah beyaz örneklerin yanı sıra, sırtını çok güçlü edebi metinlere dayayan korsanlar Kralı, Define Adası gibi klasik haline gelmiş filmler var. Nedense sonradan uzun bir süre unutuluyor bu tür filmler. 80’li yılların ortalarına doğru tekrar bir yönelme görüyoruz. Ve ne yazık ki Spielberg’den, Polanski’ye kadar bir düzine yönetmenin kariyerindeki kötü filmler oluyor çektikleri korsan filmleri. Hele bir 1995 yapımı Rene Harlin imzalı Geena Davis filmi olan Korsan felaketi var ki, ne siz sorun ne ben anlatayım. Anlayacağınız yaklaşık 50 yıllık bir özlem vardı ‘sıkı’ korsan filmleri adına.
2003 yılında Disney Gore Verbinski’ye ‘Karayip Korsanları: Siyah İnci’nin Laneti’ni sipariş ettiği zaman klasik bir çocuk filmi çıkacağını tahmin ediyordu. Ancak o kadar müthiş bir kadro uyumuna bir de filmin görüntü yönetmeninin (Dariusz Wolski) usta işi çerçeveleri eklenince ortaya şahane bir korsan filmi çıktı. Orlando Bloom bir karizmasını pekiştirdi, Johnny Depp var olan karizmasına ne denli usta bir aktör olduğu gerçeğini ekleştirdi. Ki bu erkek oyuncu dalında Oscar’a aday gösterildi. Kötüler kötüsü Barbossa’yı canlandıran Geoffrey Rush’ı söylemeye gerek yok. Sinema bu tür bir şeydi işte; umut bağladığın ürün hayal kırıklığı oluştururken, ummadığın taş kafa yarıyor!

Filmin izleyici üzerindeki etkisi azalmadan hemen devamı için kollarını sıvayan şirket, tıpkı Matrix ve Yüzüklerin Efendisi gibi iki ve üçüncü bölümü beraber çekme kararı aldı. Zira yakaladıkları bu dalga ile aynı kadroyla ikinciyi çekseler bile muhtemelen üçüncü için tekrar bir araya toplanmak kolay olmayacaktı…
Ve serinin ikinci filmi olan "Karayip Korsanları: Ölü Adamın Sandığı" nihayet vizyona girdi. Rakamlara bakılırsa, Disney hedefi 12’den vurmuştu. Zira filmin ilk gün hasılatı tam anlamıyla bir rekordu. (İlk gün 55 milyon, ilk üç gün 132 milyon dolar hasılat yaptı) Bu filmde de yine üçkağıtçı ve kötü görüntülü korsan Jack Sparrow başına olmadık işler açıyor. Dallanıp budaklandırmadan öyküyü özetmeyecek olursak şöyle: Düzenbaz ve üçkağıtçı korsan Jack Sparrow’un, hayalet gemi Uçan Hollandalı’yı yöneten efsanevi korsan Davy Jones’a kan borcu olduğu ortaya çıkar. Sparrow, bu sözleşmeden kurtulmanın yolunu bulamadığı takdirde sonsuza kadar onun kölesi olarak yaşayacaktır. Efsaneye göre ise, Ölü Adamın Sandığı’na sahip olan Davy Jones’un da kontrolünü elde edebilecektir…
Burayla kadar her şey iyi ve olumlu gibi görünse de, yönetmen ve senaristler Hollywood’un en büyük tuzağına düştüklerini görüyor ve üzülüyoruz. Karayip korsanları: Ölü Adamın Sandığı, ne yazık ki, tam anlamıyla bir görsel efekt fetişine dönüştürülmüş. Filmin uzunluğu ciddi anlamda bir dezavantaja dönüşmüş. Bitmek bilmeyen görsel efektler, sıkıntılı senaryo ile birleşince öykü tökezlemeye filmin ritmi düşmeye başlıyor.
Aslında şöyle trajik bir durum söz konusu: Tıpkı Buz Devri gibi ilk örneği bir ‘kült’ olan film var karşımızda. Ve ne yazık ki ikincisi için ne kadar iyimser olmayı denesek de aynı şeyleri söyleyebilmek mümkün değil. Ancak bunun biraz da ‘kişisel tercih’ ile ilgisi var. Örneğin filmi beraber izlediğim bazı dostlarımın benimle aynı fikirde olduklarını söylemem mümkün değil. Onlara göre, Karayip Korsanları: Ölü Adamın Sandığı muhteşem bir film. Hem devam filmi olarak, hem de kendi başına bir korsan filmi olarak.
Toparlayacak olursak; karşımızdaki devam filmi serinin ilkiyle ilişkisini koparmadan oluşturduğu karakterlerin yaşadığı hissini izleyiciye geçirmeyi başarıyor. Ancak inandırıcılık ve sinema tadı açısından aynı şeyi söylemek mümkün değil. Jonny Depp Sparrow karakterini daha da geliştirip, kendini iyiden iyiye rolüne kaptırırken, Geoffrey Rush için aynı şeyi söylemek mümkün değil.

biri brad pitt johnny depp kıyaslamasında brad pitt i söyleyince başka biri şöyle bir analiz yaptı o yazıyı aynen aktarıyorum
ne brad'in angelina atağı, ne johnny'nin paparazzi düşmanlığı... bunları dışında bırakarak bir yorum yazmak gerek arkadaşlar, bunlar o kişilerin özel hayatları, bu topicte biz ikisinin oyunculuğunu konuşalım.
Brad de Johnny de genç kızların erkekler tarafından pek sevilmeyen beyazperde yüzleri olarak sinemaya başladığlar; brad çabuk hollywood sineması çerçevesine girdi, kabullendi ve vasat sayılmayacak bir çok filmde kendisinden genelde kat kat üstün bir çok oyuncuyla oynama şansı yakaladı, yıllar içinde rol yapabilme çok düşük bir düzeyden etkileyici performanslara çıkardı ve hala yanına çok sağlam oyuncular almadan pek film çekmiyor! (bakınız se7en-morgan freeman, fight club-edward norton ve en başarılı olduğunudüşündüğüm snatch de çok sağlam bir ingiliz kadro ile). Depp ise Hollywood'un çizgilerini kabullenmedi, başından sonuna kadar (hala da) canının istediği filmlerde canının istediği rolleri oynadı ve bu en takdir ettiğim yönü olan bu kaprisi ile baba filminde kendisine teklif edilen rolü sırf makaseller'de oynamak için geri tepti (geri teptiği rollerde bir çok oyuncu hollywood starı oldu: keanu reeves); bir göründü bir yok oldu, çok saçma filmlerde boş boş da dolaştı, çok az sinemaseverin takdir edeceği bir çok sıradışı filmde de çok iyi performans gösterdi, kanının ısındığı yönetmenlerle sinema tarihine geçebilen bir çok özgün tipleme yarattı (makaseller, ichabod crane, sparrow)... çok büyük oyuncularla çalışırken (marlon brando, al pacino) onların gölgesinde kalmadan kendi bazında bir ustalık ve yaratıcılık konuşturdu ve daha 90larda tek başına bir filmi götürebileceğinin sinyallerini verdi en sonunda da bunu başarı; vasatı aşamayacak bir filmi son on dakikasına kadar sürükleyici ve izlenir kıldı (gizli pencere)...
Eğer kısa tutmaya çalıştığım özgeçmişlerine bakarsak Depp, Brad Pitt'in bir değil bir kaç adım önünde (en azından benim oyunculuk anlayışıma göre)

DEPP çünkü,
1. Pitt’in canlandırdığı her karakterin doğuştan gelen bir karizması var, Legends of fall, Dövüş kulübü gibi filmlerdeki karakteri gerçek hayatta yaşıyor olsa yine “cool” olurdu, bu nedenle seyirci tarafından doğal olarak hayranlık duyulan rollerde oynamasının getirdiği bir +ya sahip, Depp ise gerçekte olsa kesinlikle karizma olmayacak tam “loser” dediğimiz tipleri sinemada yeniden doğurmak, onları ilgi çekici, enteresan, garip, komik yapmak zorunda idi, bu konuda kendini daha zora sokuyor ve seyirciden aldığı notları Pitt gibi karakterin doğasından kapmıyorsa oyunculuğu kazanıyor demek ki (her ikisi için de bayan hayranların kişisel beğenilerinden kaynaklanan oyları hesaba katmıyorum) DEPP:1, PİTT:0

Pitt genelde tamamiyle Amerikan yapımı filmlerde oynarken, Depp çok uluslu yapımlarda farklı kültürlere ait bir çok karakteri başarıyla canlandırıyor, nereli olduğu belli olmayan Don juan, yine nereli olduğu belli olmayan çingene, iskoç bir yazar, ingiliz dedektif... Her kültürdeki seyirciyi kendine çekebilen bir yakınlık doğuruyor, bu da onun kültürleri benimsemesi ve yansıtmasındaki başarıyı ortaya koyuyor. DEPP:2, PİTT:0

Pitt oynadığı her filmde kadın veya erkek çok yetenekli oyuncularla destekleniyor, bir bakıma filmdeki yükümlülüğü azalıyor, (merak ederseniz yukarıda bunu daha ayrıntılı yazmıştım), Depp ise çok başarılı oyuncularla oynasa da o filmlerin senaryosu icabı mı artık nedir o kadar desteklenmiyor, çoğu filmde kadın oyuncular ondan çok geride kalıyor, genelde bir çok filmde tüm sorumluluk (canlandırdığı karakterin garipliği ile doğru orantılı olarak) onun üzerinde... Bu konuda da en son örneği Secret Window, tek başına vasat bir filmi seyredilebilir kılıyor, Pitt’in böyle bir yeteneği varsa da hiç göstermedi. DEPP:3, PİTT:0
4. Sinemada “ikon”laşan tipleri oynamak çok zordur; korsan, elleri makas olan adam, don juan de marco, ed wood gibi... Bu ikonlar hemen seyirci tarafından alaya alınabilecek kadar klişeleri barındırabilecek tehlikeli rollerdir. Bu açıdan da Depp yine zor olanı üstlenip bu ikonları büyük bir başarı ile o klişenin dışında kalankarakterlere dönüştürüyor. Pitt’in bu konuda bir denemesi var (niyeyse tüm Pitt fanları bu filmi görmezden geliyor): vampir. Çok farklı ve klişe dışına çıkan bir film olan Interview with the Vampire filminde çok klişe bir oyunculukla bu ikonu batırıyor, başrolde oynamasına karşın tüm ilgi Lestat (Tom Cruise)’in oluyor, haklı olarak. Ve Depp olsa daha iyi olurdu dedirtiyor. DEPP:4, PİTT:0

şimdi neden pitt neden neden depp. buna bi açıklama getirelim ilk önce.brad pitt hayatında yapmış olduğu filmler 2 3 tanesi dışında çok tutulmadı. pitt biraz ağır olucak ama çok yılışık umursamaz ciddi olmayan çocuk gibi bi insan. erkek gibi erkek değil yani. sıradan bi kişi sadece yakışıklılık var ve bundan başka hiç bi şey de yok yakışıklılık geçicidir. bunuda unutmayalım. deppe gelirsek o göz önünde olmayı pek sevmez. dünyada karizma kelimesi depple birlikde geldiğine inanıyıorum. bi insan basit bir şey yaparken bile bu kadar karizmatik ve seksi olamaz. örnek sigara içerken,konuşurken. beyaz şeytan filminde penelope cruzla tanışmak isterken yanına bi gidişi vardı orayı dikkatle izlemenizi öneririm.çikolata filminde binocceyle tanışırken ilk andaki hareketleri. ya anlatmakla bitmez. depp hiç bi zaman sıradan bi insan olmadı o çok değişik bi ruh taşır. sonuçta ikizler burcudur ağır bi insandır ciddidir. ve inanılmaz cool birisidir yılışıklığı sevmez hayata esnek bakar.aykırı rollerin asi ruhlu oyuncusudur.demişsiniz ki kimse sorarsanız sorun pitt der sinemaya gitmeyen birisine sorsanızda evet onlar pitt der çünkü sinemaya gidip deppi görmemişlerdir. tek taraflı bakamazsınız olaylara deppi tanımadan herkes pitt der tabi herkes sağolsun pitt de pitt aslında içi boş bi kutudan başka bi şey değildir pitt. depp gerçek anlamda ilersi için umut veren ve bu haliylede ileriye bakmadan kendisini ıspatlamış bir oyuncudur. giyimi kuşamı her zaman farklıdır yırtık bir montun içine bi tsihrt giyer üstüne fötür şapka kumaş pantalon ve eski botlarıyla ne kadar farklı bi imaja sahip olduğunu kanıtlıyor zaten.takiları da cabası. depp kendi etrafında dans eder ve dans ederken etrafa mistik bir koku yayılır bu kokuda etrafındaki erkek yada kız hiç fark etmez etkilemeye yeterlidir. pitti sevenler sadece hayali bi boşluğun içinde kaldığını unutmasın pittciler genelde kulakdan dolma birbiriyle iletişim kurarak 1e 5 kaatarak bilinen bilgilerdir. ama depp sadece gerçekdir. ve öle kalmaya devam edecekdir. teşekkür ederim

Benim görüşüme gelince, bir oyuncuyu sırf karizmasına göre değerlendirmek, resmen komik. komik. komik. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'yi izleyin, bir adam bu kadar mı iyi oynar çocuk filmi dediğimiz bir filmde bile? Babasını hatırlarken yüzüne yerleşen o çocuksu gülümseme, moddan moda geçmesi ve o mimikleri...Karayip Korsanları'nda kırıtarak yürümesi, gözlerindeki o sürme ve o tüm aksesuarlar da onun fikriymiş yani, oyuncu budur. O mimikler? Makas Eller'deki o hüzünlü yüz, Edward Scissorhands'i başka kim oynayabilirdi JD varken?
Evet...Ona hayranım...

sen git yılların asi,karizmatik ve sıradışı adamıyla kendını hollywood a cabuk alıştırmış,usta denilebilecek kadar iyi oyunculuğu olmayan,sadece yakışıklılığı ve yaptıklarıyla gundemde olan bi adamı kıyasla...ikisinide ayrı ayrı ele alırsak görünen tek şey war ki buda johnny depp'in sıradışı olması,istediği filmde oynayıp istemediği filmde oynamaması,sıradışı rolleri sewmesi we bu sıradışı roller için çok buyuk usta oyuncularla oynamayı gözden cıkarması onu hollywood dan uzaklaştırmış..lakin pitt bunların neredeyse çoğunun aksini yaparak hollywood a kndısını sewdirmeyi başarmış..oyunculuk bakımından johnny depp in cok dha iyi olduğunu kabul etmek gerekiyor..en azından kendı fikrimi söylemem gerekirse johnny depp pittden cok daha iyi ..bunu anlama içnse dead men'i izlemek yeterli diye düşünüyorum...:)
Çok güzel yazmışın captain bende bikaç şey ekliim Depp her zaman iyi oyuncuydu okadar fiyasko filmde rol alsa bile mimikleriyle izlettirirdi filmi hele hayalet süvari filmi çok iyidi 40 yıl düşünsem o eski filmi tekrar tekrar izlicem aklımın ucundan geçmezdi depp'in bayıldığı sahneler ve aradaki konuşmalar süper sizi gülmekten öldürürür al pacino'yla oynadığı filmdede bi okadar harikaydı o filmde duygusal yönünü hissetirmişti karayip korsanları'nda ise gözlerine sürme çekmek zorunda kalmıştı(kömür isi gibi kullanılıcaktı bu sürme) çünkü kirli bir korsan olmak zorundaydı filmde ama o kadar pasaklı olmak bi insana anca bu kadar giderdi yaptığı herşey ekol olmuş birini sadece ayakta alkışlamak gerekir
