New York Post’tan henüz resmi olarak doğrulanmamış bir haber geldi. Gazetenin iddiasına göre Weinstein Company, Chicago’nun yönetmeni Rob Marshall ve yıldızı Catherine Zeta-Jones’u Gypsy müzikalinde yeniden biraraya getirmeye hazırlanıyor.

Steve Sondheim’ın 1959’da açılışını yaptığında olaylar yaratan müzikalinde bir türlü şöhrete kavuşamamış sahne sanatçısı Rose ve bir striptizci iken şöhret basamaklarını hızla tırmanan kızı Rose Lee’nin hikayesi anlatılıyordu.

Ünlü eser daha önce de beyazperdeye taşınmıştı.1962’de Mervyn LeRoy’un yönetmenliğini yaptığı filmde anne Rose’u Rosalind Russell, Rose Lee’yi ise Natalie Wood canlandırmıştı.

İngiltere’nin gelmiş geçmiş en popüler oyuncusu olan Catherine Zeta Jones, bu başarısını, sinema kariyerinden ziyade güzelliğine ve Michael Douglas ile yaptığı sansasyonel evliliğe borçlu. Uzun süreli aralıklarla kamera karşısına geçen Jones, kendini daha ziyade TV dizilerinde gösterdi. İlk ciddi başarısını Antonio Banderas ve Anthony Hopkins gibi dev oyuncularla birlikte oynadığı “ The Mask of Zorro ” ile gerçekleştiren aktris, bu 1998 yılının en popüler filmi sayesinde dünya çapında bir üne kavuştu.

1969 yılının Eylül ayında Galler’in bir balıkçı köyünde dünyaya gelen Jones, ekonomik nedenlerden ötürü çok küçük yaşlardan itibaren ağır işlerde çalıştı. Ailesinin işlerinin düzene girmesi ve sonunda babasının bir şeker fabrikası kurmasıyla birlikte biraz olsun rahata kavuştu. Fakat ne balıkçılık ne de şekerpancarı onun ilgisini çekmiyordu.

Genç yaşlardan itibaren oyuncu olmayı kafasına koyan Jones, insanların karşısında gösteriler düzenlemek ve herkesin ilgisini kendisinde toplamaktan büyük bir haz alıyordu. 4 yaşında Katolik kilisenin düzenlediği toplantılarda şarkı söyleyip dans eden küçük yıldız, 11 yaşına gelince sahneye çıktı. İlk önceleri küçük çaplı oyunlarda rol alan Jones, 13 yaşında ilk büyük deneyimini bir West End yapımı olan “ Bugsy Malone ” adlı bir müzikalde gerçekleştirdi.

Aktris, 16 yaşına geldiğinde David Merrick’in “ 42nd Street ” adlı oyununda başrol oynayarak, bir daha dönüşü olmayacak bir yola ilk büyük adımını attı. Normalde ikinci bir rolde oynayacak olan Jones, başrol oyuncusunun olmadığı bir gece hırlı bir şekilde çalışırken yönetmen Merrick tarafından fark edilmesiyle birlikte başrolü kazandı. Sekiz hafta boyunca gösterilen oyun, aktrisi İngiltere’de bütün tiyatroseverler tarafından bilinen bir oyuncu haline getirdi.

Kariyeri boyunca daha çok televizyon dizilerinde gözüken Jones, 1990 yılında Fransız yönetmen Philip de Broca’nın 1990 yapımı “ Scheherazade ” adlı filminden hemen sonra televizyona transfer oldu. Aynı yıl içerisinde İngiliz televizyonlarının nostaljik dizisi “ The Darling Buds of May ”de rol aldı. Bu filmle birlikte İngiltere çapında bir süper star haline gelen Jones, bundan sonraki üç yıl içerisinde parasal açıdan çok parlak bir dönem yaşadı. Bu dönem içerisinde Hollywood’a ilk adımlarını atmaya başlayan aktris, ABC kanalının sevilen filmi “ The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles ”da kalıcı bir rol kazandı.

Ününü kısa sürede Amerika’ya da yayan Jones, 1994 yılında kariyerinin belki de en güçlü etkiyi bırakan rolünü oynadı. CBS’nin “ Return of Native ” filminde başrol oynayan aktris, ardından “ Catherine the Great ” adlı bir TV filminde rol adlı. Filmografisi içerisinde daha çok tarihi ve nostaljik filmlere ağırlık veren Jones, bu tarz filmlerin en iddialısını 1992 yılında Marlon Brando ile oynadığı “ Christopher Columbus: The Discovery ” ile gerçekleştirdi. 1993 yılında Barbara Hershey ile “ Splitting Heirs ” ile birlikte kamera karşısına geçen aktris, 1996 yılında da Billy Zane ile “ The Phantom ”da rol aldı.

Bu sırada ünlü yönetmen-yapımcı Steven Spielberg’in dikkatini çeken Jones, Spielberg’in yapımcılığını üstlendiği ve Antonio Banderas ve Anthony Hopkins gibi ünlü oyuncuların yer aldığı “ The Mask of Zorro ” da rol aldı. Ardından Sean Connery ile birlikte “ Entrapment ” adlı filmin başrolünü paylaştı. Filmde seksi bir mücevher hırsızını canlandıran Jones, belki de filmin tek dikkat çeken noktasıydı. Aktris 1999 yılında “ The Haunting of Hill House ” adlı vasat bir filmde rol aldı. Bu sırada Michael Douglas’ın sözleşmeli evlilik teklifini kabul eden aktris, kısa bir süre sonra Douglas’tan hamile kaldı.

Sert yüz ifadesini, gizemli bakışları ve seksi gülüşüyle bütünleştirince hemen hemen her sinema izleyicisini ekrana odaklayabilecek bir güzelliğe sahip olan Jones, vasat filmlerin kurtarıcısı olarak yapımcılar tarafından aranan bir yıldız. “ The Mask of Zorro ” ile bir anda Amerika’nın en gözde kadın oyuncuları arasına giren Catherine Zeta-Jones, son olarak İngiliz yönetmen Stephen Frears’ın “ High Fidelity ” adlı filminde rol aldı. Şu sıralar Michael Douglas’tan olan çocuğunu dünyaya getirmeye hazırlanan Zeta-Jones ile “ High Fidelity ” öncesi yapılan bir röportajı yayınlıyoruz.

“ The Mask of Zorro ” filmine baktığımızda sizin gerçekten bir İspanyol olduğunuzu düşündüm. Sizi İspanyol zanneden insanlar oldu ?

Evet...Oscar törenindeyken olmuştu. Kırmızı halı merasiminde İspanyol kalabalığa doru ilerliyorduk ve insanlar benle İspanyolca konuşmaya çabalıyordu. Limuzinimle insanların arasından geçtikten sonra indim ve Versace elbisemle birlikte yürümeye başladım. On adım atmıştım bu garip kalabalık bana doğru gelmeye başladı. O sırada kardeşim Lyndon arabayı sürüdü de o kalabalık içerisinden kurtulabildim. Oldukça şaşırmıştım açıkçası ama, nedenini bilmiyorum, çok da sakindim. Oradaki insanlar benimle İspanyolca konuşmak için üzerime gelmişlerdi. Ben de içimden “ Şu anda ihtiyacım olan en son şey bu. İspanyolca konuşmak istemiyorum ” diyordum. Fakat sonra Gal dili aksanında konuşunca şaşkına dönmüşlerdi.

Oscar töreninde giydiğiniz o ihtişamlı elbiseyi nasıl seçtiniz ?

Adayların açıklandığı sıralarda beni de Oscar’a davet etmişlerdi. Fakat o sırada “ Entrapment ”ın çekimleri devam ediyordu ve beni kesinlikle bir yere bırakmazlardı. Sonra çekim programı değişti ve ben de gidebildim. Donatella Versace bana Paris’teki moda defilelerine katılmamı önerdi. Ben de Parsi’e gittim ve çok güzel vakit geçirdim. Yaklaşık üç gün sürdü. Sonra o siyahlar içerisindeki kedi yürüyüşlü mankeni gördüm ve üzerindeki elbiseyi çok beğendim. Sonra kendim için bu elbisenin kırmızısını yapmalarını istedim. Elbisenin son halini ancak Oscar’dan bir gün önce gördüm. Tanrıya çok şükür elbise üzerime bir eldiven gibi oturdu.

“ The Mask of Zorro ”nun kariyerinizde farklı bir yeri var. Bu film sizin için hem gece hem de gündüz gibiydi. Değil mi ?

Kesinlikle. Zorro’nun oyuncu kadrosuna seçildiğimde bu filmin bir şeyler yapmak için iyi bir fırsat olduğunu düşündüm. Düşündüğünüzde aslında o kadar da çok sahnem yoktu ama filmdeki merkezi rollerden birini oynuyordum. Çekimler sırasında bile bu filmin adımı bütün Amerika’da dolaştıracağı aklımdan çıkmıyordu. Hatta Steven Spielberg ajansıma telefon edip benimle görüşmek istediğini söylediği vakit “ İşte bu benim dünyaya gelişimin nedeni ” diye düşünmüştüm. Ama Zorro’dan sonra her şey çok farklıydı: “ Hey, bir karakter olarak bilinmeden önce benim de başıma böyle bir şey geldi ” dedim kendi kendime. İkinci büyük filminizde Sean Connery gibi bir oyuncuyla çalışmak sizi korkuttu mu ?

Sean böyle biri değil, o hiç kimseyi korkutabilecek biri değil. O zamana kadar öğrendiğimden çok daha fazlasını bu film sayesinde Sean’dan öğrendim. Bunu asla unutamam. O işiyle birlikte ülkesi için çalışan bir insan. Bir zanaatkar. Bu bir bakıma, ama daha küçük bir ölçekte, kariyerimin ilk zamanlarındaki halime benziyor. Tiyatro çalışmalarım, dans derslerim, hepsi bana Sean’daki ile aynı olan zihniyet ve çalışma şeklini kazandırmıştı. Bir anlamda işe de yarıyordu. Hiçbir şekilde onunla olduğum için korkuya kapılmadım. Şans yıldızlarıma şükürler olsun ki on beş yıldır bu işin içindeyim. Endişe duymadım yalnızca borcumu ödemem gerektiğini hissettim.

“ The Mask of Zorro ” filmine baktığımızda sizin gerçekten bir İspanyol olduğunuzu düşündüm. Sizi İspanyol zanneden insanlar oldu ?

Evet...Oscar törenindeyken olmuştu. Kırmızı halı merasiminde İspanyol kalabalığa doru ilerliyorduk ve insanlar benle İspanyolca konuşmaya çabalıyordu. Limuzinimle insanların arasından geçtikten sonra indim ve Versace elbisemle birlikte yürümeye başladım. On adım atmıştım bu garip kalabalık bana doğru gelmeye başladı. O sırada kardeşim Lyndon arabayı sürüdü de o kalabalık içerisinden kurtulabildim. Oldukça şaşırmıştım açıkçası ama, nedenini bilmiyorum, çok da sakindim. Oradaki insanlar benimle İspanyolca konuşmak için üzerime gelmişlerdi. Ben de içimden “ Şu anda ihtiyacım olan en son şey bu. İspanyolca konuşmak istemiyorum ” diyordum. Fakat sonra Gal dili aksanında konuşunca şaşkına dönmüşlerdi.

Oscar töreninde giydiğiniz o ihtişamlı elbiseyi nasıl seçtiniz ?

Adayların açıklandığı sıralarda beni de Oscar’a davet etmişlerdi. Fakat o sırada “ Entrapment ”ın çekimleri devam ediyordu ve beni kesinlikle bir yere bırakmazlardı. Sonra çekim programı değişti ve ben de gidebildim. Donatella Versace bana Paris’teki moda defilelerine katılmamı önerdi. Ben de Parsi’e gittim ve çok güzel vakit geçirdim. Yaklaşık üç gün sürdü. Sonra o siyahlar içerisindeki kedi yürüyüşlü mankeni gördüm ve üzerindeki elbiseyi çok beğendim. Sonra kendim için bu elbisenin kırmızısını yapmalarını istedim. Elbisenin son halini ancak Oscar’dan bir gün önce gördüm. Tanrıya çok şükür elbise üzerime bir eldiven gibi oturdu.

“ The Mask of Zorro ”nun kariyerinizde farklı bir yeri var. Bu film sizin için hem gece hem de gündüz gibiydi. Değil mi ?

Kesinlikle. Zorro’nun oyuncu kadrosuna seçildiğimde bu filmin bir şeyler yapmak için iyi bir fırsat olduğunu düşündüm. Düşündüğünüzde aslında o kadar da çok sahnem yoktu ama filmdeki merkezi rollerden birini oynuyordum. Çekimler sırasında bile bu filmin adımı bütün Amerika’da dolaştıracağı aklımdan çıkmıyordu. Hatta Steven Spielberg ajansıma telefon edip benimle görüşmek istediğini söylediği vakit “ İşte bu benim dünyaya gelişimin nedeni ” diye düşünmüştüm. Jan De Bont’un “ The Haunting ” filminde bir biseksüeli oynayacağınız söyleniyor. Bu doğru mu ?

Evet doğru. Jan’ın benim için düşündüğü iki proje vardı. Zorro’nun yönetmeni Martin Campbell ile sıkı dost oldukları için filmin birkaç çekimini izleme fırsatı bulmuş. Sonra da “ The Haunting ” gündeme gelmiş. Bense bu sırada “ Entrapment ”ın çekimleri için İngiltere’de bulunuyordum. Jan bana telefon etti ve projeden bahsetti. Ben de okumam için senaryoyu getirmesini söyledim ve ne zaman başlamayı düşündüğünü sordum. Ona “ Seninle çalışmak beni onurlandırır ama gözlerimi açamayacak kadar yorgunum. ” dedim. Jan da “ Ne yazık ki iki hafta içerisinde başlayacak ” dedi. “ Entrapment ”ın çekimlerinin bitmesinden hemen sonra.

Tam bu sırada Sean’a gittim ve bu filmden sonra ne yapacağını sordum; sonra da “ Oldukça farklı bir türde oynamak istiyorum ve kesinlikle çok farklı bir karakter. ”dedim. Zorro’da bir aristokratı oynadım. Ve içten içe bir çok bilmişlik vardı canlandırdığım karakterde. Hatta Entrapment’da bile bu vardı. Sean kendi yaşını ben de benimkini oynuyorduk. Ama sonuçta yoldan çıkmış ve yine çok bilmiş bir genç kızı canlandırdım. Bundan kurtulmak; eğlenceli bir şeyler yapmak istiyordum. Sean ile konuştuktan sonra senaryoyu okudum ve Jan’a projesini çok beğendiğimi söyledim. Senaryoyu beğenmiştim çünkü çok farklı bir kitleye sesleniyordu ve de çok farklı bir türdü. Ve ayrıca ben de iyi izlenimler bırakan DreamWorks ile çalışmak istiyordum.

Şu anda birçok ünlü oyuncunun çalışmak için can attığı bir yıldızsınız.

Martin Scorsese, Jack Nicholson ve Robert De Niro gibi isimlerle çalışmayı çok istiyorum. Ama özellikle Scorsese ile çalışan De Niro ve Pesci gibi belli bir yönetmenle çalışan bir oyuncu olmak istiyorum. Güven duyabileceğiniz ve samimi projelere birlikte imza atacağınız bir oyuncu-yönetmen ilişkisi kurmak istiyorum. Mesela gezginci bir tiyatro grubu gibi bir takımı olan Scorsese bana çok yakın geliyor.

“ The Return of the Native ”de olduğu gibi pek çok edebi karakterleri canlandırdınız. Bundan memnun musunuz ?

Birçok uyarlamada rol aldım. Hatta “ Darling Buds of May ” ünlü İngiliz yazar H.E. Bates’in bir romanından uyarlandı ve 50’li yılları konu alıyordu. Catherine Cookson’ın pek çok dramında rol aldım. “ The Return of the Native ” ve “ Catherine the Great ” filmlerinde yer aldım ama daha fazla korse giymek istemediğimi söyleyebilirim. Ama yine de bazı Amerikan klasiklerinde oynamak istiyorum. Çocukken edebiyatla ilgilendiğim zamanlar beni sahneye bağlayan tek şey Tennesse Williams’dı. Öyle ki hayatımın bir noktasında sarhoş bir sarışını canlandırmak istiyorum.

İnsanlar çoğu zaman Ava Gardner’a olan benzerliğinizden bahsediyorlar. Çok zarif bir panter görünümüz var, şehvet gibi. Gardner bir Kern müzikali olan “ Showboat ”da oynamıştı.

Uzun seneler yanlış zamanda dünyaya geldiğimi düşünmüşümdür. Bu da neden oynadığım filmlerin hayal ettiğim gibi olamamasının bir nedeni aslında. “ Onlar yapıldı ve kimse eski Hollywood müzikallerini geri getiremez ” diye düşünüyordum. İşte bu yüzden de müzikal komedi ve tiyatro benim vazgeçilmez iki hayalim oldu. O zamanlar bir an için bile olsa bir filmde yer almayı düşünmüyordum. Zaten “ 42nd Street ”de oynadığım 16 yaşıma kadar da böyle bir şey olmadı. O zamanlar yapmak istediğim her şey tiyatroya yönelikti. West End’te müzikal yapmak ya da bir tiyatro grubuyla yolculuk yapmak değildi benim hayalimde olan şey. Bundan çok daha fazlasıydı. Bir şekilde çocukluk hayalimi gerçekleştirmeliydim ve bunu ancak oynayarak yapabilirdim. Bu sırada Phillippe D Broca adındaki bir yönetmen beni “ 42nd Street ” adlı oyunda izlemiş ve yanıma gelerek benimle çalışmak istediğini söyledi. Daha önce ise televizyon ve sinema kafamda hiç yoktu.

Şu anda Güney California’da yaşıyorsunuz. İngiltere gerilerde mi kaldı ?

Her şeyden evvel ailemi geride bıraktım. Ben Londra’dayken bile onlarla aramızda üç saatlik bir yol vardı. Ama şunu söylemeliyim ki; ailem her ay ziyaretime geliyor. Daha geçen hafta sonu bir kısmıyla birlikte oldum. Bu anlamda onları unuttum diyemem çünkü onlar her zaman için benim yanımdalar. Mesela ağabeylerim benimle birlikte yaşıyorlar. Geldiğim yerleri, köyümü tekrar görmem için hiçbir yol yok önümde. Çocukken yaşadığım yerden nefret ederdim. Şimdi ise sakinlerini tanıdığım, bir kuru temizleyicisi olduğun bildiğim Pacific Palisades’te yaşamayı seviyorum. Her ne kadar doğduğum köyden pek faklı olmasa da Los Angeles’ta yaşamayı gerçekten seviyorum.

Oscar ödül töreninin yaklaşmakta olduğu şu günlerde, Oscar’a aday olan filmler de bir bir ülkemiz sinemalarında boy göstermeye başladılar. Bu yılın en iddialı adaylarından olan, Steven Soderbergh’in yönettiği “ Trafik (http://www.bigglook.com/biggcinema/Film.asp?fid=233) ” de bu filmler arasında yer alıyor.

Meksika ve Amerika'da geçen iç içe geçmiş üç ayrı kaçakçılık öyküsü anlatıldığı filmde, uyuşturucu baronu Carlos Ayala’nın hamile karısı Helena’yı canlandıran Catherine Zeta-Jones, Hollywood’un Altın Çağı’ndan çıkıp gelen, her yönüyle tam bir yıldız olan bir isim.

Film dünyasında adını duyurmasına yardımcı olan “ The Mask of Zorro ” ve “ Entrapment ” gibi, fazla derinliği olmayan rollerin ardından, “ Trafik ” ile oyunculuk yeteneğini ispatlama imkanı bulan Zeta-Jones, bu imkanı değerlendirmeyi bilmiş. 2000 yılının son aylarında Michael Douglas ile yaptığı prenseslere layık evlilikle adından sıkça söz ettiren Jones’un 56 yaşındaki eşi, kendi babasından iki yaş büyük.

Hayatımızdan çok memnun görünüyorsunuz?

Sanırım çoğu insanın isteyip de elde edemeyeceği pek çok şeye sahibim şu an ve bunun değerini biliyorum. Hollywood’da bazen birtakım isimlerden, “ Aman Tanrım! Ne kadar da şanslı! Keşke bende onun kadar şanslı olabilseydim. ” sözcükleriyle bahsedilir. Sanıyorum şimdilerde ben de bu özenilen isimler arasında yer alıyorum.

Geçen yıllar boyunca çok çalıştım. Şimdi de bu çalışmaların mükafatını alıyorum. Bence insan ne kadar çok çalışırsa, şansı da o oranda artıyor.

Ama sadece iş yaşamınız değil, özel hayatınız da tam bir masal gibi...

Evet, bütün bunların bir rüya olmadığına inanmak için sık sık kendimi çimdikliyorum. Ama şu anda çok mutluyum diye hayatımın her zaman mükemmel olduğu sanılmasın. İniş çıkışlarla dolu bir yaşamım oldu. Her zaman bu kadar şanslı değildim ne yazık ki...

Hollywood’a geldiğinizde, İngiliz basını tarafından kıyasıya eleştirildiğiniz zamanlarda olduğu gibi mi?

Zor zamanları nasıl atlatacağımı öğrendim. Biliyorum ki gelecekte de bir çok zor zamanım olacak. Bütün bu mutluluk, bu döneme ait bir şey ve zamanla yerini değişik kaygılar alacak. İngiliz basınının şahsıma yönelttiği haksız suçlamalardan etkilenmiştim bir dönem, ama şu ara beni en çok ilgilendiren şey, eşim ve bebeğim.

“ Daha önce canlandırdığım rollerden çok farklı bir rol.”

“ Trafik ” filminde rol alıp almayacağınıza karar verirken, hamileliğinizi göz önünde bulundurdunuz mu?

Aslını isterseniz, filmde rol alıp almamak konusunda epeyce kararsız kaldım. Ama film bu süreçte beni özgürleştirdi bir anlamda. İnsanlar böyle bir durumda oyunculuğun ikinci planda bırakılması gerektiğini düşünürler genelde. Benim içinse, altı aylık hamilelik dönemim boyunca bu filmde rol almak önemliydi, çünkü filmde hamile kadın karakterini canlandıracaktım. Böylelikle de daha önce canlandırdığım rollerden çok farklı bir şey yapmış olacaktım.

Sağlığınız konusunda endişelendiniz mi?

Çok kolay bir hamilelik dönemi geçirdim. Doktorumun bu konuda bir endişesi olsaydı, kesinlikle bunu yapmama izin vermezdi. Ve ben de kendimi iyi hissetmiyor olsaydım, filmde rol almayı çok istesem bile, hem kendimi, hem de bebeğimi tehlikeye sokacak bir şey yapmazdım.

“ Karnım giderek daha çok büyümeye başladığında, endişelerim de büyüdü. ”

Filmin yönetmeni Steven Soderbergh’in söylediğine göre, Harrison Ford geri adım attığında da, stüdyo bütçeyi küçültmek için her çeşit şeyde kesinti yapmak zorunda kaldığında da hiç tereddüt etmemişsiniz?

Senaryoyu okuduğumda, bunun tam da yapmak istediğim şey olduğunu anlamıştım. Steven’a hamile olduğumu söylediğimde bana, “ Tamam o zaman, biz de bunu kullanırız. ” diye cevap verdi.

Ama her ne kadar başlangıçta tereddüt etmemiş olsam da, karnım giderek daha çok büyümeye başladığında, endişelerim de büyüdü ve “ Hastaneye yetişmem gerekirken bir film çekiyor olmayı gerçekten istiyor muyum? ” diye sormaya başladım kendi kendime. Steven’a sürekli olarak “ Çekimleri hızlandırabilir miyiz? Daha hızlı çalışamaz mıyız? ” diye soruyordum.

Biz oyuncular, insanları şaşırtmak, daha önce hiç bulunmadığımız yerlere gitmek, yapmadığımız şeyleri yapmak isteriz. Hele de belli rollerle tanınmış bir oyuncuysanız, yeni şeyler yapma isteğini daha güçlü hissedersiniz... Stüdyolar da bundan faydalanarak sizin iştahınızı kabartacak roller teklif etmeyi biliyorlar. Steven Soderbergh, daha önceki bütün rollerimden tamamıyla farklı bir öneriyle bana geldiğinde gerçekten de çok heyecanlandım bu yüzden.

Filmde canlandırdığınız Helena karakterinin saldırgan davranışlarını nasıl açıklıyorsunuz?

Çocuk bekleyen bir kadının içgüdüleriyle hareket edişiydi bunlar. Bir çocuk sahibi oluşumdan bu yana bendeki bu içgüdüler de yüzeye çıktı. Sizin bir parçanız olan, size ihtiyacı olan küçücük bir canlıyı koruma içgüdüsü bu. Bu duygu o kadar güçlü bir duygu ki, onu tüm kötülüklerden uzak tutmak istiyorsunuz. Helena’nın saldırganlığının temelinde de bu duygu yatıyor. Ailesinden kimsenin acı çekmesini istemiyor, buna engel olmaya çalışıyor.

“ Hamilelik dönemini çok hareketli geçirdim. ”

Hamileyken normalden çok farklı mı hissettiniz kendinizi gerçekten?

Hamilelik döneminde öyle çok enerjiye sahiptim ki... Gerçekten de, doğum yaptığım güne kadar, hormonların etkisiyle olsa gerek, her şeyi yapabilecek gibi hissediyordum kendimi. Michael ( Douglas ) bu halimi gördükçe, “ Ayaklarını uzatıp otur biraz, televizyon izle, çikolata ye, ne bileyim, seni daha az yoracak şeyler yap. ” diyordu. Ama ben merdivenlere tırmanmayı, sürekli planlar yapıp çeşitli organizasyonlarda yer almayı sürdürdüm.

Michael doğumhanede nasıldı, çok heyecanlandı mı?

Tam anlamıyla harikaydı, sanki doğumu yaptıran kendisiymiş gibi, “ Evet, doktor, nasılsınız? Kendinizi iyi hissediyor musunuz? Doğum için ne harika bir gün değil mi? ” şeklinde sorular soruyordu.

Günümüzde çocukları olan çiftler genellikle evlenmeyi düşünmüyorlar. Sizse evliliği tercih ettiniz?

Ben evliliğin önemli olduğunu düşünüyorum. Evlenmek isteyişimin tek sebebi bir çocuğumun olması değildi. Kocama ve bebeğime olan bağlılığımı yasal olarak da göstermek istiyordum. Nikah masasında durup bağlılığımı herkesin önünde de ilan etmek benim için çok fazla anlam taşıyordu. Bu benim kendimden emin olmamı ve kendimi güçlü hissetmemi sağlayan bir şey. Benim anne babam tam 34 yıldır evliler ve hala çok mutlular. Önümde onlar gibi mükemmel bir örnek olduğu için şanslıyım. Evliliği hafife alanlardan değilim.

Kariyerinizle anneliği nasıl bir arada yürüteceksiniz?

Dylan’ın bakımını paylaşacağız. İkimizin birden çalışacağı zamanlarda onun anneyle mi babayla mı birlikte gideceği gibi şeyleri planlamamız gerekiyor. Bu durum beş yıl boyunca böyle devam etmek zorunda. Beş yaşına geldiğinde ise okula başlayacak. Onun Amerika ve İngiltere’deki akrabalarını tanıması da bizim için önemli. Bunun yanı sıra, arkadaşları olan, sosyal hayattan kopuk olmayan bir hayatı sürsün istiyoruz.

Elbette, ikimiz de bunu çok isteriz, ama bunun çok özel bir film olması gerek. Ben Michael’la “ War of the Roses ”da birlikte çalışmak isterdim. Birlikte daha çok vakit geçirebilmek için bundan daha iyi bir fırsat olamaz.

Evet, Julia Roberts, John Cusack ve Billy Crystal ile birlikte. Filmde ünlü bir çiftten birini canlandırıyor olsam da, bunun kendi hayat hikayemle alakası yok. John Cusack’la birlikte canlandırdığımız rolde ayrılmış iki sevgili olarak kamera karşısına geçiyoruz...

Kınay'dan 7 milyon dolara villa aldılar
Turks&Caicos adalarında villa yapmaya hazırlanan Cem Kınay, Michael Douglas - Catherine Zeta-Jones çiftine 7 milyon dolara villa sattı. İnşaata yazın başlanacak

Atlas Okyanusu'ndaki Turks& Caicos takımadalarında villa projesi yatırımı yapan Cem Kınay'ın ilk müşterileri Michael Douglas - Catherine Zeta-Jones çifti oldu. Çiftin satın aldığı villanın değerinin 7 milyon dolar olduğunu söyleyen Kınay, "Satışlarımız başladı. Başka ünlüler de şu anda ev aldı" dedi.

Projede otel de var
Projenin inşaat izinlerinin alındığını söyleyen Kınay, yaz aylarında inşaata başlayacaklarını belirtti. Proje içinde otel de bulunduğunu kaydeden Kınay, "Oteli ve villaları Mandarin Oriental işletecek. Otel ve villa projesinin ilk fazı 2009 yılının ikinci bölümünde açılacak" diye konuştu.
Projedeki rezidans fiyatlarının 2-3.5 milyon dolar arasında olduğunu kaydeden Kınay, villa fiyatlarının da 5 ile 7.5 milyon dolar arasında olduğunu belirtti.
Satışların çok kısa süre olmasına rağmen çok iyi gittiğini belirten Kınay, "Aralık ve ocak aylarında projenin tanıtım yemeklerini düzenledik. İki organizasyona da çok ünlü isimler katıldı ve katılanlardan bazıları rezidans ve villa satın aldılar" diye konuştu.
Takımadalar içindeki 3 milyon metrekarelik Dellis Cay Adası'nı satın alan Kınay, 500 milyon dolarlık yatırımla 300 villa ve iki otel yapacak.
7 milyarlık villa alan Douglas ve Zeta Jones çiftinin evliliğinde soğuk rüzgârlar estiği söyleniyordu. Geçen günlerde Zeta Jones'un, son filminde rol arkadaşı olan Aaron Eckhart'la el ele tutuşurken çekilmiş bir fotoğrafĞ basĞnda yer almĞş, bu yüzden eşi Michael Douglas'la boşanmanın eşiğine geldiği öne sürülmüştü.
