Grease, yönetmenliğini Randal Kleiser'in yaptığı, başrollerini John Travolta, Olivia Newton-John ve Stockard Channing'in paylaştığı 1978 ABD yapımı 110 dakikalık filmdir. Türü müzikal/romantik/komedidir. Aynı isimli Broadway müzikalinden sinemaya uyarlanmıştır.
Film için eleştirmenlerin birçoğu "zamanın ötesinde" tanımını kullanırken bir kısmı "1950'lerin sonu 60'ların başını anlatan, 70'ler yapımı bir 90'lar filmi" tanımlamasını tercih etmektedirler.
Filmin soundtrackinde yer alan "Hopelessly Devoted to You" parçası 1979 yılında En İyi Film Müziği dalında Oscar'a aday olmuştur.
1982 yılında Grease 2 bir devam filmi niteliğinde çekildiyse de Grease'in elde ettiği başarıyı yakalayamamıştır

1959 yazında Danny Zuko (Travolta) ve Sandra Olsson (Newton-John) bir yaz aşkı yaşamıştır. Yaz biterken Sandy Danny'e Avustralya'da okula devam edeceğini söyler ve çift ayrılmak zorunda kalır.
Danny, okuduğu okul olan Rydell Lisesi'deki ilk gününde, deri ceketli serseri çetesi T-Birds'ün başına yeniden geçer. En yakın arkadaşları Kencikie, Doody, Sonny ve Putzie ile yaz tatilinde ne kadar eğlendiğini ve çapkınlığını anlatırken, Avustralya'ya gitmeyen ve tesadüfen aynı okula kaydolmuş olan Sandy ile karşılaşır. Sandy, Betty Rizzo'nun (Channing) başını çektiği Pink Ladies'e katılmıştır.
Danny, Sandy'e deli gibi aşık olsa da tavırlarından vazgeçmeyecektir. Danny, okuldaki popülaritesini yitirmekten korkmaktadır. Sandy ve Danny aşkları sayesinde tekrar bir araya gelirler. Bu arada Betty de Kenickie (Jeff Conaway) ile çıkmaya başlar.

Bende bu müzikal filmi çok seviyorum herlade 100 kere izlemişimdir.Özellikle jeff conaway oyunculuğu filme ayrı bir renk katıyor.En sevdiğim sahneler scorpions grubu ile yapılan araba yarışı ve sandy ile danny'nin ilk karşılaştıkları zaman geçen konuşmalar çok komikti.:img-wink:

"Grease" ile yeniden!
Michelle Pfeiffer, Jessica Simpson’ın ünlü müzikal "Grease"in yeniden yapımında Sandy rolü için en güçlü aday olduğunu açıkladı.
Ünlü şarkıcı, yapımcılarla anlaşmaya vardığı taktirde 1978’de çekilen ilk filmde Olivia Newton-John tarafından canlandırılan rolü kapacak.
Michelle Pfeiffer’ın ise İlk filmde Eve Arden’in canlandırdığı Rydell Lise’si müdürü rolünü üstlenmesi bekleniyor.

İngiliz hükümetinin çocuklara ve gençlere sinema sevgisini aşılamak üzere giriştiği projenin ardından The Times gazetesi çocuk ve gençlere tavsiye edilebilecek en iyi 20 filmden oluşan bir liste yaptı.

Danny Zuko (John Travolta) ve Sandy Olsson (Olivia Newton-John) birlikte müthiş bir yaz aşkı yaşıyorlar ama mevsimin soonunda her şeyin bittiğini düşünüyorlar. Rydell Lisesi'ndeki ilk gün, Danny son sınıfa başlıyor, "T-Birds" adlı grubun lideri olarak fiyakalı, deri ceketli imajına geri dönüyor ama Sandy'ye pek yakınlık göstermiyor. sıkılmadan tekrar tekrar izlenebilir gerçekten
j.travoltayı bize tanıtan şahane bir müzikal film..travolta çok sevimli sonuda güzel =)...sandy ile danny nin aşkı çok güzel anlatılmış ve de şarkılarla süslenmiş =)
PERDEYİ TUTUŞTURAN ÖPÜCÜKLER
Her şey Nicole Kidman ile Hugh Jackman'ın başrollerini paylaştığı Australia adlı filmin fotoğraflarının basına yansımasıyla başladı. Film daha bir çok ülkede gösterime bile girmedi ama Kidman ile Jackman'ın ateşli bir şekilde öpüştükleri sahneler tüm dünya basınında çoktan yer aldı bile. Bu da akıllara beyazperdenin en unutulmaz öpücüklerini getirdi. Oyuncuların canlandırdıkları kahramanın kişiliğine tamamen bürünerek rol arkadaşlarına kondurduğu o tutkulu öpücükler. İşte beyazperdenin en çok akılda kalan öpüşme sahneleri.
