Katie Holmes ve Michelle Williams’ın "Dawson’s Creek"te başlayan rekabeti kısa sürdü. Williams Oscar’a aday olarak rakibine fark attı.

Geçtiğimiz yıllarda ekrana gelen "Dawson’s Creek" adlı dizi, tüm dünyada gençler tarafından ilgiyle izlenmişti.

Dizi sona erdikten sonra, oyuncular arasından iki isim öne çıktı: Katie Holmes ve Michelle Williams. Dizide birbirleriyle iyi anlaşamayan iki karakteri canlandıran Holmes ve Williams, rol aldıkları filmlerle birbirlerine rakip gösterilmeye başladılar.

Ang Lee'nin Brokeback Dağı insanları ne çok konuşturdu, ne kadar çok ödül aldı, biliyorsunuz. Bu hafta gösterime giren filmin arka plandaki yıldızı Michelle Williams, birlikte hayvan güttükleri iş arkadaşına (Jake Gyllenhaal) âşık olan sığır çobanının (Heath Ledger) genç karısı rolünde çok başarılı. Brokeback Dağı'nda üstlendiğiniz rolü, Alma Del Mar'ı oynarken onu içten içe tanıyor muydunuz, yoksa role nüfuz etmek için çok mu uğraşmak gerekti?
Rolüm hakkında çok şey biliyordum. Senaryoyu okuduğumda en sevdiğim kişi o olmuştu. İki adam arasındaki aşk hikâyesi çok güçlüydü ama benim içim yine de Alma için titredi. Ama tabii sette birçok ayarlama yapmak durumunda kaldık. Çünkü ben Alma değilim ve onun gibi birini de tanımıyorum.

Film asıl Ennis (Ledger) ve Jack (Gyllenhaal) arasındaki aşka dair olmakla birlikte onlara sahip olamadıkları için acı çeken kadınların da hikâyesi bir yandan. İzleyicinin, küçük kız da dahil olmak üzere filmdeki kadınlar için hissettikleri, filmin 'gay kovboylar filmi' etiketini geçersiz kılıyor, değil mi?
Öyle olduğunu düşünmek isterim. Filmdeki hiç kimse, ne kadınlar ne erkekler, istediğini elde edemiyor. Herkes yüreğini ortaya koyuyor ama sonuçta hiçbir şey kazanmıyor.
Sette hava nasıldı? Film gay bir aşk ilişkisine mi yoksa cinsiyetten bağımsız bir aşk ilişkisine mi odaklanmış olarak algılanıyordu?
Ang (Lee), oyuncularla ne konuştu bilmiyorum ama benim Heath'le konuşmalarımdan anladığım kadarıyla film hiçbir zaman bir gay aşk hikâyesi olarak tanımlanmadı. Tekrar tekrar altı çizilen şey, zamanlar ötesi bir aşk hikâyesi olduğuydu. Türünün ilk örneği olduğu için, görmeden önce gay kovboylar filmi olarak adlandırmak kolay, tabii. Arkadaşımın cevabı kırık kalp olmuş. Günlük, hatta anlık bazda insanları daha çok etkileyen duygularıdır.
Alma'nın kapıdan bakıp da Ennis ve Jack'i tutkuyla öpüşürken gördüğü sahneyle ilgili neler hissettiniz? İçiniz acıdı mı? Yani Alma olarak değil de, Michelle olarak?
O sahneye hazırlanışımı hatırlıyorum. Evde yapayalnızdım. Çalışma yeri olarak koridoru seçtim kendime. Parmakların arasından akıp giden su kadar hafif bir oyunculuğu başarmak istiyordum. Kapıyı açma sahnesinde kalbime iğneler saplandı; acıyı çeken ben miydim, Alma mı, bilmiyorum. Çalışırken kendimi onları öpüşürken görmeye değil de, kapının ardındaki bilinmeyene hazırladım.
Peki ya Ennis'in Alma'yı dizlerinin üzerine çöktürüp, sanki önündeki Jack'mişcesine onunla seviştiği sahne?
Alma'nın hissedebileceği her şeyi ben de hissettim. Moralsiz, seksi olmayan, istenmeyen, arızalı bir kadın. Acı da duydum. Ama hepsinden daha fazla, kafam karıştı. O noktada Alma'nın Jack ve Ennis'e ilişkin kesin bir fikri yoktu henüz. Mesele, en azından ele güne karşı aleni değildi. Alma'nın bazı kuşkuları vardı sadece. 'Production Weekly'nin haberine göre "Sil Baştan"ın (Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind) senaryosuyla Oscar alan Charlie Kaufman, "Synecdoche" adlı film için kamera arkasına geçecek. Filmin oyuncu kadrosunda ise "Capote"la Akademi Ödülü'nü kucaklayan Philip Seymour Hoffman ve "Brokeback Dağı"yla Oscar adaylığı alan Michelle Williams olacak.

Çekimler 2007 yılının yaz aylarında başlayacak. Filmin odak noktasını hayatında birçok kadın olan, acılar içindeki bir oyun yazarı oluşturuyor.

‘Dawson’s Creek’ dizisiyle tanıdığımız Michelle Williams yeni filminde Hollywood’un iki yakışıklısı ile beyazperdede boy gösterecek.

En son “Brokeback Dağı”nda izlediðimiz Michelle Williams, “The Tourist” isimli filmde Hollywood’un iki yakışıklı aktörüne, Ewan McGregor ve Hugh Jackman’a eşlik edecek.

Filmde McGregor hayattan bağını koparmış Jonathan adındaki bir muhasebeciyi canlandırıyor. Karizmatik bir avukat olan yakın arkadaşı Wyatt(Jackman) Jonathan’nı tekrar canlandırmak için ‘The List’ adında gizemli bir seks klübüne götürür. Çok duru bir güzelliği var. yaşındaki kızı babasız büyüyecek bu çok üzücü. Cenazeden sonra kızının babasının sörf yapmayı sahile arkadaşlarıyla beraber gitmiş.Beraber gülümsüyor ama o gülümsemenün altındaki acıyı görebiliyorum. Geçen 22 Ocak’ta New York’taki evinde ölü bulunan 28 yaşındaki Avustralyalı aktör Heath Ledger, doğup büyüdüğü Perth kentinde önceki gün törenle uğurlandı.

Avustralya’nın sanat, siyaset ve spor dünyasından ünlülerin katıldığı cenaze töreninde Avustralyalı yıldız Cate Blanchett yer yer neşeli bir anma konuşması yaptı. Ledger’in, eski nişanlısı ve 2 yaşındaki kızının annesi Michelle Williams ise Shakespeare’in 18. Sonesi "Seni bir yaz gününe benzetmek mi, ne gezer"i okudu. Törenin ardından Ledger’in sörf yaptığı Cottesloe plajında bir yemek verildi. Yemek sırasında Ledger’in aile üyeleri ve dostları elbiselerle hep birlikte denize atlayarak aktörün hayatını kutladılar. Michelle Williams’ı da denize sürükleyerek güldürmeyi başardılar. Gün batımıyla birlikte Ledger’i sembolik olarak uğurlayan grup, "Güneş daima batacak ama, Heathy’nin üzerinde asla" diye bağırdı.

Michelle Williams Kalispell, Montana'da doğmuştur.Babası Larry Williams bir eşya tüccarı, annesi Carla Williams ise ev kadınıdır. Beş kardeşi vardır. Santa Fe Christian Lisesi'nde eğitim görmüş ve 1997 yılında 16 yaşındayken babasının 1987 yılında kazandığı Robbins Trading Company'nin sponsorluğunda düzenlenen Robbins World Cup Trading Şampiyonasını kazanmıştır.

Oyunculuk kariyeri

Williams oyunculuk hayatına Lassie, Baywatch ve Home Improvement gibi yapımlarla başladı.Jessica Lange ve Michelle Pfeiffer'ın başrollerini üstlendiği A Thousand Acres filminde küçük bir rol aldı. Ardından 1998 senesinde Halloween: H20 filminde yer aldı ve Dawson's Creek dizisinde Jen Lindley karakterini canlandırmaya başladı. Kişisel hayatı
