Harry Potter (DANIEL RADCLIFFE) iyi bir yaz geçirmemiştir. Yeni hayranları arasında Ron'un küçük kızkardeşi Ginny (BONNIE WRIGHT), birinci sınıf öğrencisi sözümona fotoğrafçı Colin Creevey (HUGH MITCHELL) ve en sinir bozucu olarak da Karanlık Sanatlara Karşı Savunma Profesörü Gilderoy Lockhart (KENNETH BRANAGH) bulunmaktadır.

Kibirliliği yüzünden gölgede kalan Lockhart, Harry'nin uzak durduğu ilgiyi arzulamakta ve Hogwarts'ın genç kahramanıyla dostluk kurmak için aşırı bir çaba göstermektedir. Ancak Lockhart bile okulu saran kaypak ve uğursuz dehşete bir açıklama getirememekte ya da çözüm bulamamaktadır. Şimdi tüm gözler Harry'nin üzerindedir ve arkadaşı olarak bildikleri bile ondan şüphe duymaktadır. Elbette Ron ve Hermione ve tüm dikkati yeni gizemli günlüğüne çevrilmiş olan kırılgan genç Ginny dışındaki herkes. Ancak Harry arkadaşlarını hayal kırıklığına uğratmaya niyetli değildir ve Gilderoy Lockhart'ın desteği olsun ya da olmasın, çok sevdiği okulunda pusuya yatmış olan karanlık güce karşı çıkacaktır.

Esprili yaklaşımıda güzeldi.

Bu filmde Harry bana biraz şişman gelmişti.Ama tabi ki tartışmasız süperdi.
Sonunda bir de Hermione ve Ron un utanıp sarılmamalarına kopmuştum ya.

Serinin güzel ve heyecanlı bölümlerinden biriydi.Gerilim dozu da yüksekti.Voldemort ilk filmde sadece ismiyle yer almıştı ama burda kendisini daha doğrusu gerçek kimliğini,gençliğini,anısını gördük.Ron çok sevimliydi.Harry ve Ron'un araba yolculukları ve maç sahneleri güzeldi.
