Konusu:

Spor ayakkabıları üreten büyük bir şirkette ayakkabı tasarımcısı olarak görev yapan Drew Baylor, şirketin yükselen yıldızı olarak tanınmaktadır. Ama son yaptığı spor ayakkabı tasarımındaki hatası nedeniyle şirketini 972 milyon dolar zarara uğratınca işinden kovulur. Bu yetmezmiş gibi özel hayatında da işler kötüye gitmektedir. Kardeşinden gelen telefonla, yıllardır görmediği babasının, Kentucky eyaletindeki Elizabethtown'a akrabalarını ziyarete gittiği sırada öldüğü haberini alır. Cenazeyi getirmek görevi de Drew'a düşmüştür. Elizabethtown'a yaptığı uçak yolculuğunda sıradışı hostes Claire ile tanışır. Hayata daima olumlu açılardan bakan Claire, Drew'in hayatının akışını değiştirir. Kentucky'de babasının hayatı ve aile kökenleri üzerine o güne kadar duymadığı kadar çok ayrıntı öğrenen Drew, Claire'in de yardımıyla kendi kaderiyle ilgili birtakım olasılıkları keşfetmeye başlar.

Hayatı aniden beklenmedik yönlere kayan genç bir erkek ve dünyaya bakışını renklendirmesi için ona yardımcı olmaya çalışan genç bir kadın... "Vanilla Sky", "Almost Famous" ve "Jerry Maguire" filmlerinin yönetmeni, Oscar ödüllü Cameron Crowe'dan hayat, ölüm, başarı ve başarısızlık üzerine bir komedi filmi... Başrollerinde Orlando Bloom ve Kirsten Dunst'ın yer aldığı filmde ikiliye eşlik eden oyuncular Susan Sarandon, Alec Baldwin, Bruce McGill, Judy Greer, Jessica Biel ve Paul Schneider olmuş. Senaryosunu da Crowe'un yazdığı filmin müziklerini Nancy Wilson hazırlamış.

Crowe'dan kişisel bir hikaye daha

2000 yılında "Almost Famous" için yazdığı özgün senaryo ile Oscar ödülünü kucaklayan Cameron Crowe, "Elizabethtown"da bir kez daha özel yaşamındaki deneyimlerinden yola çıkmış. Yeni çalışmasının esin kaynağı olarak kendi babasının beklenmedik ölümü sırasında hissettiği karmaşık duyguları temel alan yönetmen, babasının da hoşlanacağı tipte bir film yapmak için kolları sıvamış.

"Gözyaşlarıyla kahkahaları harmanlayan bir film olmalıydı. Bence bu ikisinin karışımı en harika karışımdır" diyen ünlü yönetmen sözlerine şöyle devam ediyor: "Annemle babamın ilişkisini hatırlıyorum. Bu çok özel karışıma isim koymuşlardı, ona Ekmek ve Çikolata' diyorlardı. Çok sevdikleri bir yabancı filmin isminden esinlenerek böyle demişlerdi. Yönetmenliğe başladıktan sonra bu karışım, benim de en favori karışımım oldu. Karakterleri gerçek anlamda hissettiğiniz, sizi kendi yaşamlarının içine çeken filmler yapmayı istedim. Öyle ki, filmlerim filmin bitişinden iki saat sonra o filmde tanıştığınız insanları özlemeye başladığınız filmler olmalıydı."

"Elizabethtown"un yapımcılarından Paula Wagner'in yönetmenle ilgili sözleri ise şöyle: "Cameron Crowe günümüzün en büyük yazar-yönetmenlerinden birisidir. Ancak bunun yanısıra bir özelliği daha vardır. Gerçeğin kronolojisini tutan bir tarihçi gibi çalışır. Kimi zaman muzipçe, kimi zaman büyüleyici şekilde, ama her zaman için kocaman bir yürekle gerçeği anlatır. Filmlerindeki karakterlerin insani kusurlarına gülmemize izin verir. Aradan birkaç saniye geçtikten sonra gözyaşlarına boğulabiliriz. Cameron bu filmde de bizi böyle bir kişisel yolculuğa çıkarıyor. Filmde anlattığı o yolculuğu sanki kendi yaşam yolculuğumuzmuş gibi hissetmeye davet ediyor."

Kirsten'ı çok seviyorum ve çok başarılı buluyorum bu filmini henüz izleme imkanım olmadı ama eminim ki bu filminde de diğer filmlerinde olduğu gibi harika ve başarılı bir performans sergilemiştir.elimde filme ait resimler var bir ara eklerim onlarıda artık...

orliyi izlemek için cd sini alıp izlemiştim bu filmin ama gerçekten isabet olmuş çok farklı bir filmdi başroldeki bayanı örümcek adam serisindeyken hiç beyenmediğim halde bu filimde çok hoşuma gitmişti...
