Leonardo DiCaprio'nun başrolünde olduğu "The Blood Diamond" filmi mücevher endüstrisindeki kodamanları endişelendiriyor.

Hollywood'un ünlü aktörü Leonardo DiCaprio'nun başrolünde olduğu, "Traffic" ve "Shakespeare in Love" filmleriyle Oscar alan yapımcı/yönetmen Edward Zwick'in kamera arkasına geçtiği ve şu anda çekimleri devam eden "The Blood Diamond" filmi, mücevher endüstrisindeki kodamanları endişelendirdi. Çünkü film, 'kanlı elmas'ı yeniden gündeme getiriyor.

Dünya Elmas Konseyi, filmin elmas satışlarını olumsuz etkileyeceği görüşünde. Konsey bu nedenle filmin yapımcısı, yönetmeni ve aynı zamanda senaristi Edward Zwick'e filmin sonuna yeni bir sahne eklemesini bile teklif etti.

Peki onları bu kadar endişendiren konu ne? Film, Afrika'daki iç savaş sırasında birtakım çıkar gruplarının elmas satışı karşılığında bölgeye silah sağlamasını konu alıyor. Bu olaylar 90'lı yıllarda aralarında Sierra Leone'nin de olduğu yerlerde yaşanmış gerçek olaylar. Oradan sağlanan elmaslar daha sonra Batı'da zarif hanımların güzelliklerine güzellik katıyordu. O nedenle bu elmaslar 'kanlı elmaslar' adını almıştı. İşte bu nedenle büyük patronlar, bu defterin yeniden açılmasının elmas sektöründeki satışları olumsuz etkileyebileceğini düşünüyorlar. Zwick'ten istedikleri ise Kimberly Yöntemi adı verilen, uluslararası elmas satışlarını inceleyen ve 'kanlı elmas' satışına son vermeyi amaçlayan oluþumdan filmde bahsedilmesi.

'Eonline.com' sitesinden Josh Grossberg'in haberine göre Zwick'in cevabı çok net: "Kimberly Metodu'nun hepimiz farkındayız. Filmin detayları 1999 yılında gerçekleşen olaylar ve filmimizin içeriğinin nasıl olacağını hiç kimseyle tartışmayız. Biz nasıl uygun görürsek film o şekilde olacak".

Film, bir elmas kaçakçısıyla (Leonardo DiCapro) ülkedeki elmas maden endüstrisini kontrol eden sendika arasında kalan bir çiftçinin hikayesini anlatıyor. "The Blood Diamon", 12 Ocak 2007'de ABD'de vizyona girecek.

Titanik filminin yakışıklı aktörü Leonardo Di Caprio son olarak Milano moda haftasında podyuma çıkan sevgilisi İsrailli model Bar Rafaeli ile Yunanistan'da tatil yaparken görüntülendi.


Birkaç aydır beraber olan çift Atina'nın Lagonissi kasabasındaki tatilleri sırasında paparazzilere sıcak görüntüler verdi. Di Caprio'nun eski sevgilisi güzel manken Gisele Bundchen'in ise çiftin sergilediği bu mutlu tabloya çok bozulduğu belirtildi. Victoria's Secret mankeninin şirketine rest çektiği ve eğer kampanyalarında Rafaeli'ni kullanırlarsa işi bırakacağını söylediği gelen diğer haberler arasında.

Sinema oyuncusu Leonardo DiCaprio, 'E-Topia' adlı çevreci bir televizyon programı için hazırlık yapıyor.

Variety gazetesinin haberine göre, DiCaprio'nunşirketi Appian Way, 'E-Topia' adlı bir televizyon programının yapımına ortak olacak.

Programda sefalet içindeki bir kasaba yeniden inşa edilerek, çevre dostu bir yaşam alanı haline getirilecek. Baştan yaratılacak kasaba ise henüz seçilmedi.

Programın daha önce 'Survivor' serisinde çalışan yapımcılarından Craig Piligian, iddialı bir projeyle seyircilerin karşısına çıkacaklarını ve seçilen yerin geleceğin örnek kasabası olarak yeniden doğacağını belirtti.

Çevreci projelere destek vermekle tanınan DiCaprio'nun programın baş yapımcısı olacağı belirtiliyor.

2004 yılında rol aldığı Howard Hughes'un hayatını konu alan 'The Aviator' filmi ile Oscar'a aday gösterilen DiCaprio, 1993 yılında da 'What's Eating Gilbert Grape' adlı filmdeki rolüyle Oscar Ödülü'ne aday gösterilmişti.

DiCaprio, 1998 yılında kurduğu Leonardo DiCaprio Vakfı aracılığıyla çevre sorunlarına yönelik bilinçlendirme faaliyetlerinde de bulunuyor.

Mükemmel bir aşk ilişkimiz yok

* 'Köstebek'te kötü-iyi çelişkisini yaşayan bir karakteri canlandırıyorsunuz. Bir aktör için cazip bir rol değil mi?

Evet, rolümü çok sevdim. Martin Scorsese bu role beni seçtiği için çok şanslıyım çünkü benim istemem değil, onun seçimi önemli. Çok iyi yazılmış bir karakter. Çelişkiler yaşıyor. Zaten senaryoda iyi ile kötü adam arasında net bir çizgi olmaması harika. Matt Damon (diğer polis rolünde) ile ben benzer geçmişlerden gelen iki genç adam rolündeyiz. İkisi de polis oluyor ama farklı taraflara yöneliyorlar. İyi niyetle hareket etseniz de içinde bulunduğunuz cehennem ortamında nereye varacağınız meçhul! Herkesin bir cehennemi var! Harika bir deneyim oldu.

* Disipliniyle tanınan Martin Scorsese ve dev bir oyuncu kadrosu var. Çekimler nasıldı?

Sete epey bir gerilim hakimdi. Bilinçli bir karar değildi ama nedense hepimiz pek ciddiydik çekimlerde! Öyle birbirimize takılıp, şakalar yapıp, gülüp eğlenmedik doğrusu. Sanırım hepimiz en iyi performansı vermek zorunda olduğumuzu biliyorduk. Birbirimizle takışmak yerine Scorsese'ye hizmet etmemiz gerektiğinin farkındaydık.

* Scorsese ile bu üçüncü filminiz, dördüncüsü de geliyor. Sizce nasıl bir ikilisiniz?

Birlikte çok uyumlu çalışıyoruz. Her şeyde hemfikir olmaktan ziyade, nelerden hoşlanmadığınız konusunda anlaşabilmeniz gerekli. Karışık söyledim, değil mi? (Kahkahalar) Daha önce izleyip beğenmediğiniz, hiç özenmediğiniz birtakım klişelerden uzak durmak gerek. O zaman biz de temel olarak önce nelerden nefret ettiğimiz konusunda anlaşalım dedik ve öyle de gidiyoruz. Aramızda 'mükemmel bir aşk ilişkisi' gibi bir şey yok. Birbirimizin her fikrini beğenip, sırtını sıvazlamıyoruz.

* Onunla çalışmak çoğu oyuncunun rüyası. İşbirliğiniz nasıl başladı?

Genç bir aktör olarak ben kendisine gittim ve 'Lütfen bu rolü bana verin' dedim. Düşünsenize 'New York Çeteleri' onun 20 yıllık projesiydi; emanet etmesi çok zor. Rolü bana verdiğinde kendimi piyango kazanmış gibi hissettim. 'Göklerin Hakimi'nde (Aviator- 2005) bana güvendi. 'Köstebek'te ise proje geldi; bu kez ikimiz de anında kabul ettik. Böyle bir ustayla çalışmak çok şey öğretti. Çalışma enerjisi, bilgisi ve sinema sevgisi bulaşıcı.

İşini yap, ödül gelirse ne ala!

* 'Göklerin Hakimi' ile ikinci kez Oscar'a aday olduğunuzda beklentiniz neydi?

Açıkçası 'Göklerin Hakimi'yle Oscar almayı umuyordum. Ama sonuçta ne çıkacağını, ödülü alıp almayacağınızı tahmin edemiyorsunuz. İnsanların tepkisini tahmin etmek zor. Demek ki; en önemli şey ödül almak için film yapmamanız gerekiyor. İşini yap, ödül gelirse de ne ala. Ama Scorsese gibi başyapıtlar çıkaran, çağdaş sinemanın önemli ustası olan bir yönetmenin hâlâ Oscar alamaması inanılmaz, kötü bir şaka gibi!

* Sette bir de efsane oyuncu Jack Nicholson da vardı, birlikte çalışmak kolay mıdır?

En hayran olduğum aktörlerden. Sete geldiği anda tüm enerjiyi değiştiren bir kişilik. İşte o zaman onunla çalışmanın nasıl bir şey olduğunu anlıyorsunuz. Öylesine doğal bir gücü var ki, siz de ona ayak uymak zorundasınız. Karşısındaki aktörü de çaresiz bırakmadan, masa altından tüyo vererek anında doğaçlama yapabilen ustalıkta.

* 'Bebek yüzlü aktör' imajından sıyrılıp, ciddi bir oyunculuk kariyeri için çalışıyorsunuz. Kendinizi nerede görüyorsunuz?

Jack Nicholson'ın yaşına geldiğimde, onun gibi usta bir aktör olmayı ancak umabilirim. Ayrıca onunla ilgili yanlış bir fikre kapılmamak gerek. Yani sete geliyor, anında muhteşem bir performans gösteriyor. Havalı bir şekilde takdirleri kabul ediyor gibi bir şey yok. Her şeyin altında müthiş bir emek var. Ben de çok çalışmam gerektiğini biliyorum. Şöhret ayrı bir şey, yanıltabilir.

Şöhretten şikayet etmek ikiyüzlülük

* Dışarıda çığlık çığlığa sizi bekleyenler var. Türkiye'de de çok hayranınız olduğunu tahmin edersiniz. Bu kadar ünlü olmak nasıl bir şey?

Türkiye'ye, herkese çok sevgiler. İnanın, ülkenize mutlaka gelmek istiyorum. Herhangi bir ünlünün daha sabah evden çıkarken paparazzilerle mücadele etmekten hoşnut olacağını sanmıyorum, hatta bazen sinir bozucu olabiliyor. Ama ben günde 24 saat imaj olarak gezip, canlandırdığım karakteri yaşamıyorum ki! Kendi özel hayatımda istediğim şeyi gayet de güzel yapıyorum. Sonuçta yaşamınızı tehdit eden bir durum yok ki ortada, şikayetçi olamam. Bu konuda çok şikayetçi olanlar da beni hasta ediyor! İstedikleri işi yapmak ve ünlü olmak için çok çaba harcıyorlar sonra da şikayet ediyorlar. Birçok insanın yerlerinde olmak için canını vereceği bir iş bu... İkiyüzlü bir durum yani! Şöhret bana bir sürü insanla iletişim kurabilmemi sağlıyor.

Dünyamızın geleceğinden korkuyorum

* Çevre kirliliğiyle ilgili bir belgeseliniz yakında gösterime girecek değil mi?

Evet, üzerinde 4 yıldır çalıştığımız '11. Saat' adlı bir belgesel. Küresel ısınma, doğal kaynakların tükenmesiyle ilgili konulara değiniyor. Bazıları bu gerçeği ciddiye almıyor; 'Nasılsa bir gün hepimiz öleceğiz' diyor. Ama bilimsel delillere göre biliyoruz ki; dünyamız gittikçe kirleniyor, sonu geliyor.

* Gelecekten endişeli misiniz?

Eğer işbirliği yapmayıp, önlem almazsak evet! Çok korkuyorum. Ben hayattayken mi olur, bir sonraki kuşakların mı başına gelir, bilmiyorum. Sonsuza kadar dayanacak bir gezegenimiz varmış gibi sorumsuzca davranıyoruz.

* Ne zaman başladı bu çevresel duyarlılık?

Titanik'ten (1997) sonraki dönem başladı. Filmle birlikte yakaladığım popüleritenin biraz durulmasını istediğim için çalışmaya iki yıl ara vermiştim. Yanlış anlaşılmasın; 'Titanik'te rol alabildiğim için çok şanslı hissediyorum kendimi. İşte o dönem kendimle değil etrafımla ilgilendiğimde çevresel sorunları gördüm. Şöhretimi de meseleye dikkat çekmek için kullanmaya çalışıyorum.

* Son dönem bazı Hollywood starları politik duyarlılıklarıyla da öne çıkıyor, siz ne düşünüyorsunuz?

Yaşadığımız çağın farkında olmamız gerek. Yeni filmim 'Kan Elması' (Blood Diamond) son derece önemli politik konulara değinen bir gerilim filmi. Dev kapitalist şirketlerin kâr amacıyla gittikleri bölgede yol açtıkları ekonomik çalkantıları, iç çatışmaları anlatan filmin politik yönü çok önemli. Afrika'da bu tür olaylar gerçekte de yaşandı.

* Film, çevre işleri haricinde, boş zamanınızda ne yaparsınız?

Uyuyorum. Şimdi sıkıcı bir adam gibi algılanacağım! (Kahkahalar) Çekimler, tanıtım turları, bir sonraki film için yapılan görüşmeler yani kariyerim bana çok zaman bırakmıyor. (Ciddi) Ama tabii ki sakıncası yok çünkü hayatımda birçok istediğimi, bana göre harika olan şeyleri yapabildiğim bir dönem yaşıyorum. Bunu iyi değerlendirmek istiyorum. Bundan 10 yıl sonra geriye bakıp 'Avantajlarını pekala da kullandın işte' diyebilmek istiyorum. Bu arada 'bencilce eğlendin, keyifli zaman geçirdin de' diyeceğim tabii ki! (Kahkahalar)

Leonardo DiCaprio "Dünyanın En Seksi Erkeği" kare asında dönüşümlü olarak Richard Gere, Brad Pitt ve George Clooney’le birlikte zaman zaman ilk sırayı alır. Onun diğer bir lakabı da "Bebek Maskeli Adam". Özellikle "Titanic"teki unutulmaz rolüyle genç kızların sevgilisi haline gelmiş, bu aşırı ilgiyi kaldıramayınca bunalıma girmiş ve hiçbir zaman "Titanic" ile şöhretinin özdeşleşmesini kabul etmemiştir. Zaten bunun içindir ki Martin Scorsese gibi antikonformist bir yönetmenin, kanatları altına sığınmış ve onun "Good Fellas" (Gözde Delikanlılar) kulübüne kendisini kabul ettirip paranoyasını aşmıştır. Leonardo DiCaprio ile Roma’nın Hassler Oteli’nde düzenlenen "The Departed" (Köstebek) filminin tanıtımında teke tek görüştük.

Mr. DiCaprio, Matt Damon ile kimin hangi tarafta ’köstebek’ olacağına nasıl karar verdiniz? Yazı-tura atarak mı?

- Doğru söylüyorsunuz. Matt Damon ile rolleri değiştirebilirdik. Çünkü gerek Billy ve gerekse Colin bir madalyonun iki tarafı gibiler. Ama benim şansıma Damon kadroya sonradan katıldı. Üstelik ben Scorsese torpilliyim. Jack Nicholson’ın rolünü istemiştim. Scorsese "Kafayı mı yedin. Film onun üzerine kuruldu" dedi.

O zaman Jack’i (Nicholson) anlatın.

- Jack’te tek beklenti sürprizdir. Tam bir sahne çekilirken Scorsese’nin yanına yanaşır "Patron dünkü oyunumu hiç beğenmedim. Gece uyuyamadım. Gel bunu tekrar çekelim der. İknaya çalışır, eder de. Ertesi günü o sahne tekrar çekilirken yanında senaryoda olmayan gereçleri ortaya çıkarır. Bir tabanca, bir şişe viski, bir kibrit kutusu. Sinsice gülerek kulağa fısıldar "Namluyu poponda hissetmek istemiyorsan çaktırma"... İtiraf edeyim aktör olarak değil ama insan olarak büyük bir paranoya yaşadım. Bir manyakla aynı masada oturuyordum ve adam beni ateşe vermekle tehdit ediyordu.

AFRİKA GERÇEĞİ HAYATIMI DEĞİŞTİRDİ

Sahiden Jack Nicholson’ın sizi yakmakla mesleğinizin sona ereceğini düşündünüz mü?

- Benim yerimde kim olsa düşünürdü. Jack insanı korkutuyor. Ciddi görünüyordu. Üstelik rolü bize oranla daha kısaydı. Sette az bulundu ama bulunduğu zamanlarda da en yoğun ve en etkili dehşet anlarını yaşattı. Bunları hiç unutmayacağım. Ama o bence dünyanın en yetenekli aktörü.

Scorsese ile üçüncü filminiz. Şimdi anladınız mı niçin oyuncularını ırgat gibi çalıştırıyor sette?

- Ben Scorsese dünyasına doğru zamanda girdiğimi sanıyorum. İlk filmimi 19 yaşında çevirdim onun yönetiminde. Çevirdiği filmleri tekrar tekrar izledim. Arkadaşlarını yakından tanıdım. "Gangs of New York"u çevirdikten sonra onun inanılmaz bir akıl hocası olduğuna karar verdim.

Peki en zor sahne hangisiydi?

- Jack Nicholson’ın kırık elime vurma sahnesi. Ayakkabıyı gerçekten var gücüyle indiriyordu elime.

"The Departed" sıra dışı bir gangster filmi. İlk kez ne zaman senaryoyu okudunuz?

- Bana senaryoyu, senarist William Monahan gönderdi. "Önce oku, sonra alıntı yapılan Hong Kong filmi Infernal Affairs’ı izle" komutunu verdi. Bir solukta okudum. Billy karakterini çok beğendim. Scorsese için de değişik bir ’gang’ (gangester) yapıtı olacağı hemen belli oldu.

Biraz da oynadığınız Billy Costigan karakterinden konuşalım.

- Billy, Massachusetts Polis Akademisi’nde geleceği parlak bir öğrenci. Apolet bile takamadan çok ciddi ve tehlikeli bir görev kendisine veriliyor. O Boston sokaklarından gelme. Yetişkinliği sırasında yaşadığı ailevi sorunlardan kaçmak için polisliği seçiyor. Billy sert mizaçlı, zaman zaman paniğe kapılıyor ve dehşet saçabiliyor.

Film çok küfürlü konuşmalarla dolu. Favori bir küfrün var mıydı?

- Evet "Kiss my ass" (Popomu öp). Özellikle Jack Nicholson’a söylemeye bayılıyordum.

Siz sinemaya çok erken girdiniz. Ne zaman oyuncu olabileceğinizi anladınız?

- Aslında belleğimdeki ilk anılarda hep başkalarını taklit etmeyi çalıştığım gözümün önüne gelir. Üvey ağabeyim reklamlarda oynayan aktör müsveddesiydi. Onu hiç kendime örnek almadım. Çünkü sadece kendi harçlığını çıkartacak kadar para kazanabiliyordu. Geleceğim için iki şık vardı. Ya turizm acentesinde bilet kesecektim ya da oyuncu olacaktım. Ama oyunculukla üniversite parasını kazanmanın daha kolay olacağını anlayınca aktör oldum.

Gelecek filminiz hangisi?

- Blood Diamond filmi. Aralıkta gösterime girecek. Bu filmde Rodezya’lı bir paralı askeri canlandırıyorum. Film Güney Afrika, Sierra Leone ve Mozambik’te çekildi. Afrika gerçeğini gördüm. Açlık, AIDS, etnik çatışmalar, kuraklık, kaçakçılık... Bunlar hayatımı değiştirmeye yetti.

Türkiye’ye ne zaman geleceksiniz?

- Aslında Titanic filmi sonrası teklif aldım. Ama programım o kadar yüklüydü ki gidemedim. Ama söz veriyorum ülkenize geleceğim.

Bacağıma yapıştı...

"Titanic" filmindeki olağanüstü başarınızdan sonra birden dünyanın kralı gibi algılandınız. Ama zamanla büyük şöhretin altında ezilir gibi oldunuz...

- Hepimiz başarılı işler yaptığımız gibi fiyasko ile sonuçlananlara da katlanabiliyoruz. Bu insanı mutlu veya mutsuz yapabiliyor. "Titanic"e dönersek. Film kendisini aştı. Fenomenal bir kült yapıt oldu. Tabi aşırı ilgi, sınırları zorlayan istekler yaşamımı istem dışı değiştirdi.

Titanic fırtınası sonrasında bu aşırı ilginin sizi nefes alamayacak hale getireceğini sezdiniz mi?

- Evet zaman zaman bu duyguyu iliklerime kadar hissettim. Bir örnek vermek gerekirse Paris Havalimanı’nda bir genç kız bacaklarıma yapıştı. Ellerini kilitledi, tırnaklarını baldırıma geçirdi. Konuşmak istedim. İmza istiyorsa verecektim. Belki öpücük de. Ama o histeri krizine girdi. Fanatizmin iletişimi tutsak aldığına tanık olarak belki o an havlu attım.

Şöhretin zirvesindesiniz. Paparazziler peşinizde. Bir restoranda flaşlar yüzünüzde patlamadan huzur içinde yemek yemeyi mutlaka özlüyorsunuzdur.

- Elbette ama oyunun kuralı bu. Bu çevreye girdiğiniz, bu dünyayı kabul ettiğiniz an başınıza gelecekleri de kabul etmek zorundasınız.

Yıllardır hayır kurumlarında görev alıyorsunuz. Biraz bu konuyu da konuşalım.

- Evet birçok hayır kurumunun üyesiyim. Bol para kazanıyorum ama yardıma muhtaçlara da bağışlıyorum. Gorbaçov’un kurduğu Green Cross International’ın üyesiyim. Yardım etmek insanı rahatlatıyor.

Leonardo diCaprio:Köstebek'in sert çocuğu

Martin Scorsese'yle çalıştığı “New York Çeteleri” ("Gangs of New York") ve "Göklerin Hakimi" ("The Aviator") filmlerinde artık aktör kimliğini ön plana almak istediğinin sinyallerini veren Leonardo diCaprio, yine Scorsese imzalı "Köstebek"te ("The Departed"), bu konuda şakası olmadığını gösteriyor. DiCaprio, bu filmle 'bebek yüzlü' oyuncular klasmanından da ayrılacak gibi...

Leonardo Di Caprio, 1974 yılında (henüz annesinin karnındayken), nasıl bir yaşam istediğinin sinyallerini vermeye başladı. Bu anlamda, annesi Floransa’da bir müzeyi gezerken, tam da Leonardo da Vinci’nin tablosunu incelediği sırada karnına attığı tekmeyle adını kazanmasıyla ‘copyright’ mevzuatına tabi olması için 1999’da avukatları aracılığıyla mahkemeye başvurması arasında bir paralellik kurmak mümkün. O, çevresinde olan biten her şeye hakim olmak, kariyerini avucunun içinde tutmak, adıyla insanları sıkmamak istiyor. Bunu geldiği yerin değerini bilmesine bağlayabileceğimiz gibi, rahatlıkla elden giden gençlikle birlikte ününden de olacağı türünde bir kaygıya verebiliriz. Nitekim “Romeo ve Juliet”in hemen ardından “Titanik”le henüz 23 yaşında tüm dünyanın tanıdığı isimlerden biri haline gelen di Caprio, hemen ardından Jeremy Irons, John Malkovich, Gérard Depardieu, Gabriel Byrne gibi usta oyuncularla yer aldığı “Demir Maskeli Adam” filminden sonra şöyle diyecekti: “Şu an önümde tek bir proje var, o da Woody Allen’ın son filmi (Celebrity’yi kastediyor) ve bu filmde misafir oyuncu olarak yer alacağım. Bundan sonra seçtiğim her şeyde içgüdülerime güvenmek istiyorum. Bütünlüğü olan ve kendim için yaptığıma inandığım işler yapmak istiyorum.”

Nitekim öyle de oldu. “Celebrity”den sonra Leonardo kariyerine iki yıllık bir ara verdi. 2000’de Danny Boyle’un sinema tarihinde hakkı biraz fazlaca yenmiş filmlerin arasına dahil olan filmi “Kumsal (The Beach)”, Leonardo’nun beyazperdeye dönüş filmi oldu. “Trainspotting” (1996) ve “Mezarımı Derin Kaz” (“Shallow Grave”, 1994) ile önemli bir çıkış yapan kendine özgü yönetmen Danny Boyle’un filminde yer alması, di Capiro’nun artık yüzünü eskitmeyecek, öncelikle iyi bir aktör olarak anılacak filmlerle anılmak istediğini gösteriyordu adeta. Bu filmde medeniyetle huzur arasında bir seçim yaparak, rüya gibi başlayan ama bir kâbusa dönüşen bir maceraya atılan Richard rolünde, karakterin kafa karışıklığını başarıyla yansıtan iyi bir performans ortaya koyan Caprio, aynı yıl “Amerikan Sapığı (American Psycho)” filminde başrol teklifini çekim tarihleri programına uymadığı için reddetti (Christian Bale’in filmdeki kusursuz performansını düşününce, insanın “iyi ki de reddetmiş” diyesi geliyor.) Eminiz bu reddedişin, Caprio’nun yüzünü eskitmeme konusundaki takıntısının da etkisi vardır; ancak en az bunun kadar etkili olan bir nokta da filmdeki karakterin etkileyici fiziksel görünümüne rağmen, özünde sorunlu ve itici bir karakter olmasıydı. Caprio, özellikle “Titanik”ten sonra adeta “iyi terbiye almış” genç kızların bile fantezilerini süsleme hakkı kazanmıştı. Bebek yüzlü, “ailenizin seks idolü” denebilecek kadar zararsız görünen aktörün bu kadar yaygın kabul görmesi, aktörlük kariyerine dair bazı çekincelerin oluşmasına da yol açtı. Örneğin, “Titanik”ten çok daha önce rol aldığı “Don’s Plum” adlı filmi ticari dağıtıma girmemesi için elinden geleni ardına koymadı. Bunun en önemli nedeni Caprio’nun Tobey Maguire’la birlikte filmin tek odağı olmayan karakterleri canlandırması ve daha da önemlisi bu karakterlerin takıldıkları “Don’s Plum” adlı barda sürekli belden aşağı muhabbet yapan, kadınlara sarkıntılık eden, itici tipler olmaları Nitekim film, uzun süren davalar sonucu bugün hâlâ ABD’de vizyona girebilmiş değil. Nihayet 2001 Berlin Film Festivali’nde, tamamlandıktan tam 6 yıl sonra galası yapılabilen film, daha sonra Karlovy Vary ve Rotterdam gibi festivallerle birkaç Avrupa ülkesinin vizyonuna da uğrayan film, adeta Caprio ve Maguire’ın çabasıyla neredeyse unutulan filmler statüsüne girmiş durumda. Bu tür bir inkârı, ‘temiz yıldız’ olmanın maliyeti olarak görebiliriz herhalde.

“Kumsal”dan sonra “yüzünü saklama” ilkesinden vazgeçmeyen Leonardo iki yıl daha birkaç TV şovu dışında ortalıkta gözükmedi. Ancak geçtiğimiz yıl sinemaya dönüşü “Kumsal”a göre çok daha görkemli oldu. İşin başında Martin Scorsese gibi mükemmeliyetçi bir yönetmen olunca, bunu gayet normal karşılayabiliriz. Gerçekten ülkemizde 14 Mart’ta vizyona girecek olan “Gangs of New York”, hem basında hem de sinemasever cephesinde önemli beklenti yarattı. ABD’de Aralık ayında, Avrupa’nın büyük bölümünde ise Ocak başında vizyona giren film, pekçok sinema eleştirmeni ve izleyici tarafından yarattığı beklentiyi karşılayan bir film olarak nitelendirildi. Filmin öyküsünün odağında yer alan Amsterdam Vallon karakterini canlandıran Leonardo di Caprio’nun performansı da, genç oyuncunun kariyerinin doruk noktası olarak nitelendirildi ve bu rolün Caprio için yeni bir dönemin başlangıcı olacağı yolunda yorumlar yapıldı.
Geçtiğimiz ay izlediğimiz “Sıkıysa Yakala”, Leonardo’nun “Gangs of New York”tan hemen sonra rol aldığı ve ona yakın iddiada bir filmdi. Bu filmde Steven Spileberg’le ilk kez çalışan Caprio, adeta artık büyük yönetmenlerle iş yapacağının sinyallerini veriyordu. “Sıkıysa Yakala”da ABD tarihinin en azılı ve de en komik yaşamöyküsüne sahip dolandırıcılarından Frank Abagnale Jr.’ı canlandıran ve film boyunca farklı kimliklere bürünen di Caprio’yu kariyerinin en eğlenceli ve de en renkli rollerinden birinde izlemiştik.

Ancak Caprio’nun bundan sonra yapacaklarında Spielberg’den çok Scorsese’nin etkisi olacak gibi. b>“New York Çeteleri” ("Gangs of New York") ve "Göklerin Hakimi" ("The Aviator") filmlerinden sonra b>"Köstebek"te ("The Departed") de Scorsese'yle çalışan yıldız oyuncu, ruhuna uygun yönetmeni bulmuş gibi gözüküyor...

Anlaşılan o ki, Di Caprio artık alıştığı ve saygı duyduğu isimlerde, adını daha da büyütecek ve özellikle “Titanik”le birlikte hak etmediği şekilde altında kaldığı yakışıklılığını ve seks ikonu olmasını unutturup, tekrar aktör kimliğini ön plana alacak bir kariyer peşinde koşacak. Bu koşusunda, onu popüler gişe filmlerinde oynatmak isteyen yönetmen ve yapımcıların işi ise en az “Sıkıysa Yakala”daki FBI ajanı Carl Hanratty (Tom Hanks) kadar zor.

Başarımda De Niro'nun katkısı büyük

Yönetmenliğini Martin Scorsese'nin yaptığı 'Köstebek' filmiyle gündemde olan Leonardo Di Caprio, başarısında aktör Robert De Niro'nun büyük payı olduğunu açıkladı.

Bu Çocuğun Hayatı', 'Romeo+ Juliet', 'Titanik', New York Çeteleri' ve 'Göklerin Hakimi' adlı başarılı yapımlarla adından söz ettiren ünlü aktör Leonardo Di Caprio, şu sıralar ülkemizde de vizyonda olan 'Köstebek' adlı filmle gündemde. 32 yaşındaki ünlü aktör, oyunculuğa başladığı ilk yıllarda çevirdiği filmi 'Bu Çocuğun Hayatı'nın kendi hayatını da değiştirdiğini söylüyor. GQ dergisinin yeni sayısına konuşan Di Caprio, şöyle konuşuyor: "Bu Çocuğun Hayatı'nda henüz çok genç bir oyuncuydum. Filmde başrolleri Robert De Niro ve Ellen Barkin paylaşıyorlardı. O film sayesinde tanıştığım Robert De Niro, yıllar sonra henüz çok üne kavuşmadan, beni yakın arkadaşı olan yönetmen Martin Scorsese'e önermiş ve benim için 'Bu çocukta birşeyler var, izlemelisin' demiş."

Bu tavsiye üzerine Martin Scorsese'nin dikkatini çekmeyi başardığını söyleyen Leonardo Di Caprio, ünlü yönetmen ile 2002 yılında New York Çeteleri adlı filmde çalıştı. O filmin getirdiği büyük başarının ardından 4 sene sonra şimdi de 'Köstebek'te bir araya gelen ikili, usta aktör Robert De Niro'ya olan minnettarlıklarını belirtmeden geçemiyor.

Leo film üstüne film çekiyor

Şu sıralar ülkemizde de gösterimde olan 'Köstebek' filminde izlediğimiz ünlü aktör Leonardo Di Caprio, yeni filmi 'Kanlı Elmas'ın (Blood Diamond) Hollywood prömiyerine katıldı. Başrollerini Jennifer Connelly, Djimon Hounsou'nun paylaştığı filmde, çok nadir bulunan bir elmasın peşine düşen insanların hikayesi anlatılıyor. Hollywoodlu yapımcıların gözde aktörlerinden olan Leonardo Di Caprio, setten sete koştuğunu söylüyor.

Afrika’dan çocuk evlat edinme trend’ine Leonardo DiCaprio da katıldı.

New York Post gazetesi, aktörün "Blood Diamond" filminin Güney Afrika’daki çekimlerinde gördüğü bir kız çocuğunu evlat edinmek istediğini açıkladı.

DiCaprio bu kız çocuğunu diğer Hollywood ünlüleri gibi anavatanından koparmayı düşünmüyor. Küçük kız, Güney Afrika’da DiCaprio’nun evlatlığı olarak büyütülecek.

1997 yılında hem gişelere hem de Oscar'a damgasını vuran 'Titanik' filminin yıldızı ünlü aktör Leonardo Di Caprio, 'Titanik'ten sonra bir dönem sinemayı bırakmayı düşündüğünü açıkladı. "O dönemde şöhretimin doruğundaydım. 'Titanik' benim hayatımda bir çok şeyi değiştirdi, o film sayesine karşıma çok fırsat çıktı. Hayatımda ilk kez kariyerimin kontrolünü elimde hissettim" diye konuşan Di Caprio, oyunculuktan vazgeçemediğini söyledi. Kendisini en iyi oyunculuk yaparak ifade ettiğini söyleyen aktör, "Daha uzun süre beyazperdede olacağım" dedi.

Kanlı Elmas filmi süper bir film olmuş!Okulun son günlerinde büyük sınıfların dvdsini getirmesiyle şans eseri izledim.Çok çok güzeldi.Tabi 10 dakika sonra Leonarda güneş gözlüklerini çıkarınca kızın birinin "Aa Leonardo!" demesi tam bir komediydi :)

LONDRA - Yıldızlar gezegeni kurtarmak için 10 yıllık bir kampanya başlattı. Global Cool kampanyası boyunca Leonardo Di Caprio, Julia Roberts, Jude Law, Orlando Bloom gibi yıldızlar, çevreye zarar vermemek için aldıkları önlemleri anlatacak. Ünlü isimler çevreye uyumlu araba ve daha az enerji tüketen lambalar kullanmak, mikrodalga, bilgisayar gibi aletleri çalıştırmadıkları zaman fişini çekmek gibi önlemlerle dünya liderlerini iklim değişikliği konusunda bir şeyler yapmaya ikna etmeyi amaçlıyor. Bu arada İsviçre'deki Isomar Enstitüsü'nün yaptığı bir kamuoyu araştırmasına göre İsviçrelilerin yüzde 80'i çevre için daha az otomobil kullanmaya ve yeni enerji kaynaklarının bulunmasına katkıda bulunmaya hazır.

32 yaşındaki DiCaprio, İsrailli model sevgilisi Bar Refaeli ile birlikte Kudüs’teki Ağlama Duvarını ziyaretine gitti. DiCaprio ve model sevgilisi Rafaeli’nin Ağlama Duvarı ziyaretini ölümsüzleştirmek isteyen foto muhabirleri, çifte biraz fazla yüklenince korumalarla aralarında kavga çıktı. *Ünlü olmak dünyadaki en berbat şey değil bence.Geçtiğimiz akşam bir restoranta yemeğe gittim ve kızlar bana aldırmadı.Bu çok sinir bozucu bir şey

*Edward Furlongla aynı problemi yaşıyorum.Çok zayıfım!

*Vücudumdan nefret ediyorum.

*Gerçek hayatımda hiçbir zaman Romeo olmadım.

*Su samurlarından,balinalardan hoşlanıyorum.Denizde olmak huzur verici.

*Aslında utangaç biriyim ama zamanı geldiğince çok çılgın maceraperest ve eğlenceli biride olurum.

*Koyu yeşil benim favori rengim.Çünkü doğanın,paranın ve yosunların rengide yeşil :)

*Kızlardan hoşlanıyorum.Zekiler,güzeller ve çok eğlenceliler..

*İlk kız arkadaşım Cessi adında bir kızdı.Yaz boyunca telefonlaşıyorduk.Güzel bir ilişkiydi.O eve gelirdi ve birlikte film seyrederdik.Onu ilk gördüümde şoka uğramıştım.Gözlerine bakıp konuşamamıştım :)

“Titanik”in unutulmaz ikilisi Leonardo DiCaprio ve Kate Winslet yeni bir filmde tekrar bir araya geliyor!

Sam Menders’in yöneteceği “Revolutionary Road” isimli film, Richard Yates’in 1961’de yazdığı ve savaş sonrasını anlattığı aynı adlı romanından uyarlama.

Film, banliyöde yaşayan iki çocuklu mutlu bir çift etrafında şekil alıyor. Sözde mutlu çiftimiz gerçek arzularıyla, yerleşmiş kalıplara itaat etmemin baskısı arasında kalıyor ve hiç umulmadık sonuçlar ortaya çıkıyor. “Revolutionary Road” sayesinde “Titanik” ile sinema tarihine geçen Leonardo DiCpario ve Kate Winslet’i tekrar bir arada izleyebileceğiz.

Filmin çekimleri bu yaz başlayacak.
