ZIT KARDEŞLERİN TEK ORTAK YÖNÜ: BASKETBOL

Tree Hill kasabasının zıt uçlarında büyüyen Nathan ve Lucas’ın basket tutkuları ve aynı babaya sahip olmaları dışında çok az ortak yönleri var. Küstah ve kendine güvenen Nathan lise basketbol takımının yıldızı ve zengin bir ailenin çocuğu. Dördüncü sezonun ortalarına gelirken One Tree Hill'in yaratıcısı Mark Schwahn,dizinin kendisi için ne anlama geldiğini,olayın nereden gelip nereye gidebileceğini ve oyuncularla ilişkisini anlatıyor.

İmzanızı attığınız birçok TV dizisi gibi "One Tree Hill"de de basketbol ön plana çıkıyor.Siz de basketbol oynar mıydınız gençliğinizde?
Basketbola bayılıyorum ama oyuncuları seyretmek,o ortamda bulunmak bana daha çok zevk veriyor.Üniversite yıllarımda oynamışlığım da var.Birini oyun sahasına koyun,yaşı kaç olursa olsun her şey silinir gözünde ve neler yapabileceğini keşfetmeye başlar.Sanırım yaşadığım sürece spora olan takıntım hiç geçmeyecek.

Dizide Dan Scott olarak izlediğimiz Paul Johansson bazı bölümlerde yönetmen masasına da oturmaya başladı.Bir oyuncuyu kamera arkasında görünce ne hissediyorsunuz?Ona güvenebiliyor musunuz?
Sadece o değil,dizinin Karen'ı Moira Kelly de yönetiyor bazı bölümleri.Paul ise harikadır zaten.Ne yapacağını gayet iyi bilir,Moria'yla tarzları da farklıdır.Yolun başındayken sadece yazmıyor,yönetiyordum da.Ama artık yorulduğumu hissediyorum.Televizyon çok çabuk öğütüyor adamı.O kadar hızlı olmak zorundasınız ki,gün geldi,bir sezonun 21 bölümünde 15 farklı yönetmenle çalıştık.Ama 80 bölüm çektikten sonra bütün oyuncular artık kendi karakterlerini ezbere oynamaya başlıyorlar.Bu nedenle içlerinden birini kameranın arkasına almak bana daha doğru geliyor.Onlara güvenim tam.

One Tree Hill'de Okulda geçen her bir yıla iki sezon düşüyor.Bu bilinçli bir tercih mi?
İkinci sezon bölümlerinde hiç basketbol maçı yer almadı.Bu da epey sıkıcı geldi izleyiciye.Basketbol sadece basketbol değil,bizim için.Basketbol oynarken insanların kişilikleri,hayatları nasıl etkileniyor önemli olan bu.Lucas ve Nathan takım için çok önemliler ve ben onlar hep liseye gitsin istiyorum.Dizinin kendi içinde zamana yayılması bu yüzden sayılır.

Bu hesapla beşinci sezona geçerken çocukların liseyi bitirmiş olmaları gerekiyor.O zaman ne olacak?
Daha önce yapılmamış bir şey olsun istiyorum bu konuda.Daha önce yapılmamış,çünkü kötü bir fikir belki de...Nathan'la Haley'nin evlenmesi gibi alışılmamış bir şey olsun istiyorum.Yeni hikayeler anlatmayı seviyorum ve lise bittikten sonra başlayacak hayatların birçok yeni hikayeler içereceğinden eminim.

Daha önce de Samuel L. Jackson'ın başrolde oynadığı basketbol filmi "Coach Carter"ın senaryosunu yazan Mark Schwahn,basketbol insanı kendini keşfetmeye yönlendiren bir özelliği olduğunu düşünüyor.
