Teknolojik düş gücü... (19.12.0003)

Yüzük Kardeşliği gösterime girdiğinde, Peter Jackson, milyonlarca okurun düş gücüyle düelloya giriyor demiştik. Okurların pek çoğunun beğenisi, filmin 860 milyon dolarlık hasılatı, en iyi görüntü efekti ödülü başta olmak üzere dört dalda kazandığı Oscar ödülleri, yönetmenin ve ekibinin, bu düellonun ilk raundundan yüzlerinin akıyla çıktığını gösteriyor. Jackson, şimdi de üçlemenin ikinci filmi olan İki Kule ile yeniden karşımızda. Kendisi de bir Tolkien fanatiği olan yönetmen, ilk filmde Tolkien hayranlarının beklentilerini büyük ölçüde yerine getirmiş olsa da, ikinci filmde bir kez daha çok zor bir sınavla baş başa. İzleyicinin karşısına ilk filmde kısa bir süre çıkan, ama İki Kule'de önemli bir yeri olan Gollum, Theoden'in ikiyüzlü danışmanı Solucandil, Ağaçsakal ve diğer Entler gibi karakterler ve dev orduların katıldığı görkemli savaş sahneleri uzun zamandır merakla beklenmekteydi...


Önceki filmdeki çalışmasıyla iki Oscar kazanan efektleri yapan Richard Taylor ise oldukça iddialı konuşuyor: 'İzleyicilerin İki Kule hakkında neler düşüneceğini öğrenmek için büyük bir merak ve sabırsızlıkla bekliyorum. Çünkü ilk film, muhteşem bir görsel destan olarak yorumlandı. Ama bundan sonra göreceklerinizin yanında neredeyse bir hiç.


İlk bölümün sonunda, yüzük kardeşliği dağılmış grup üçe ayrılmıştı. İki Kule'de Frodo Baggins ve sadık uşağı Sam'in yanlarına Gollum'u da alarak Mordor'un derinliklerine yolculuklarının yanı sıra, Orta Dünya'nın başka bir köşesinde Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli ve Ak Gandalf olarak geri dönen Gandalf'ın kuşatma altındaki Rohan Krallığı'nda büyücü Saruman'a karşı mücadeleleri anlatılıyor.
Yüzük Kardeşliği'nin En İyi Görüntü Efektleri Oscar'ını kazanması, efektleri hazırlayan WETA Digital ekibinin cesaretini artırdı ve ikinci film için çıtayı yükseltmelerini sağladı. Dijital karakterler ve dev savaş sahneleri için Peter Jackson'ın kafasında canlandırdığı daha görkemli efektler, WETA'nın patentli programının sürekli olarak evrim geçirmesine yol açtı. Ağaçsakal ve Gollum gibi tamamen dijital karakterlerin kullanılması ile Yüzük Kardeşliği'nde 560 olan görüntü efekti çekimi sayısı 800'e ulaştı.
Savaş sahneleri için Richard Taylor şöyle diyor: 'Miğfer Dibi'nde izleyeceğimiz bazı sahneler aklın sınırlarını zorlayacak. Çünkü on binlerce askerin birbiriyle öfke içinde göğüs göğse geldiği ve pek çoğunun öldüğü destansı bir savaşa tanık olacağız. Bunların hepsi dijital olarak gerçekleştirildi...

Binlerce kişiden oluşan Ork ve Uruk-hai ordusunun Miğfer Dibi'ne saldırdığı karmaşık savaş, daha önce yapılmış canlı kayıtların kombinasyonu, minyatürler ve WETA Digital'ın her dijital karaktere kendine ait bir zekâ ve kendi kararlarını verme yeteneği kazandıran patentli yazılımı Massive sayesinde hayat buldu. Yazılımın programcısı Stephen Regelous, Massive'i şöyle anlatıyor: 'Massive, kendine özgü rastlantısal karakteristiklere ve kalabalık bir ortamda kendi kararlarını verebilme yeteneğine sahip dijital karakterler yaratıyor. Bu dijital karakterlerin çevrelerine doğal tepkiler verebilmeleri için, bizim gibi duyulara sahip olmaları çok önemli. Görme ve işitme duyuları ve grafiklerin çarpışması halinde dokunma duyuları var. Yani çevrelerini algılayabiliyorlar. Her dijital karakterin kendine özgü cesaret, saldırganlık, korkaklık gibi karakter özellikleri var. Ayrıca onların ne kadar pis, uzun boylu, yorgun olduklarına kadar pek çok niteliklerini belirleyen, görünümleri ve davranış yapılarını oluşturan parametreler var. Bu sayede her biri tamamen kendine özgü karakter oluyor. 'Yani, her bir dijital yaratık nasıl savaşması gerektiğine kendi özelliklerine göre kendisi karar veriyor. Massive'in simülasyonu sonuçlandırmak için gerekli olan görüntülerin son hallerini alma işini ise, Yeni Zelanda'da icat edilmiş 'Grunt' denilen bir alet yapıyor. Grunt, dijital karakterin dış görünümünün nasıl olması gerektiğini tanımlayıp, kıyafetlerini, zırhını, savaş boyalarını nasıl sürmüş olabileceğini belirleyip, dijital karakterlerin son görüntüsünü ekrana getiriyor.

Miğfer Dibi'ndeki savaşta kullanılacak sesleri oluşturmada yardımcı olmak amacıyla, 25.000 kriket hayranının bulunduğu Wellington Stadyumu'nda kayıtlar yapıldı. Seyirciler hep beraber ilahi okuyup, ayaklarını yere vurup, göğüslerini tokatlayıp fısıldadılar. Yoğun savaş sahneleri için bu seslerin ön plandaki kılıç sesleri, vücutlara ve kalkanlara vurulan darbeler gibi temel unsurlara ayrılması gerekiyordu. Miksaj sırasında Jackson, 5.1 ses sistemi için, kurgu yapılan odadaki ekibe katılıyor ve hep beraber üç boyut içinde hareket eden sesler üzerinde denemeler yapıyorlardı.
İki Kule'de yer alan iki önemli karakter tamamen dijital olarak yaratıldı: Gollum ve Ağaçsakal... Jackson, Gollum'un yapmacıklıktan uzak, canlı bir aktör kadar gerçek görünümlü ve bir aktör kadar gibi duygularını ifade edebilecek şekilde hazırlanmasını istediğinden, karakterin bir aktör tarafından yaratılmasını uygun buldu. Aktör Andy Serkis ve yaratıcı ekiplerin çalışmaları sonucu, temellerini gerçek oyunculuktan alan ve bir oyuncu gibi rol yapabilen tamamen dijital bir Gollum ortaya çıktı. Ağaçsakal'ın yaratımında en önemli zorluk, ağaçların hayali yaratıklar değil, herkesin bildiği varlıklar olmalarıydı. Hareket eden dev 'ağaçadam' için, Jackson beğenene kadar maketler hazırlandı. Daha sonra Merry ve Pippin'le etkileşime girecek 4,5 metre boyunda dev bir hareketli model yapıldı. Bilgisayar görüntülerinde bu model hedef alındı ve Ağaçsakal'ın eklem ve yüz hareketleri dijital olarak doğallaştırıldı. Ağaçsakal'ın seslendirmesini ise, aynı zamanda Gimli'yi oynayan John Rhys-Davies yaptı.


Yüzüklerin Efendisi gibi dünya çapında sevilen, hayranları, hatta fanatikleri olan, okurun düş dünyası ile yakından ilişkili bir eserin okuyucuda yarattığı ruh halinin aynen aktarılması ve kitabı okuyan herkesin tamamıyla tatmin edilmesi imkânsız. Ortaya çıkan film, Jackson ve ekibinin ellerinden geleni yaptıklarını ortaya koyuyor ve Tolkien hayranlarına özenle yaratılmış bir Orta Dünya sunuyor. Yüzüklerin Efendisi ve İki Kule'den sonra sırada Kral'ın Dönüşü var. Meraklı izleyiciler, bir yıl sonra gösterime girecek bu son film ve Jackson'ın yeni sürprizleri için şimdiden sabırsızlanıyorlar...

Mitolojide yolculuk (19.12.0003)

Tolkien'in Orta Dünya ve efsanelerini yaratırken üç ana kaynaktan yararlandığı söylenebilir: Bir dilbilimci olarak yıllarca yaptığı çalışmalara ek bağlamında yeni diller ve bunları konuşan farklı halklar yaratma düşüncesi, torununu eğlendirmek için anlattığı masalsı öyküler ve çalışmaları sırasında bir hayli haşır neşir olduğu değişik kültürlerin mitolojileri. Tolkien, Orta Dünya'nın kıtalar henüz bugünkü şeklini almadan, büyü yok olmadan, elfler dünyayı terk etmeden çok önce var olmuş bir dünya olduğunu söyler, yani Orta Dünya mitolojisi, bilinen mitlerden daha önceki çağlara dair bir öyküdür. Dolayısıyla, Orta Dünya tarihi ile bildiğimiz dünya mitolojileri arasında bulunabilecek benzerliklerin esas sebebi, bilinen tüm efsanelerin kökeninde bu çok eski dünya ve tarihin olduğunu varsaymasıdır.

Çoktanrılı sistemler arasındaki benzerlik, Yunan ve Roma mitolojileri ile Orta Dünya arasında kurulabilecek en önemli paralellik olarak karşımıza çıkıyor. Orta Dünya Tanrıları sayılan Valar, dişi ve erkeklerden oluşan, her biri kendi etki alanına sahip ve kendi aralarındaki ilişkilerle dünyadaki olaylara yön veren Olympos tanrıları benzeri bir grup. Yüzüklerin Efendisi'nde Aragorn'un kısaca değindiği, Silmarillion'da ayrıntılı bir şeklide bahsedilen elf Luthien ile insan Beren'in hüzünlü aşk hikâyesi, Yunan kökenli Orpheus efsanesini andırıyor. Bu efsaneye göre, Orpheus karısı nympha (su perisi) Eurydike'yi kurtarmak için yeraltı dünyasına iner, ancak yeraltını terk etmeden önce karısına bakması yasaktır. Orpheus dayanamaz ve bakar, bu yüzden Eurydike sonsuza dek lanetlenir.

Tolkien'in yararlandığı bir diğer kaynak da İskandinav mitolojisi... Orta Dünya (Middle Earth) adı, İskandinav mitolojisindeki dokuz dünyadan insanlara ait olan Midgard'dan esinlenilerek yaratılmış. Cüceleri yaratan Äule, demirciler tanrısı balta kullanan Thor'la önemli benzerlikler taşıyor. Tolkien'in kullandığı çoğu cüce adı ve bunların yanında Gandalf da İskandinav mitolojisi kökenli. Ayrıca Gandalf'ın tanrı Odin ile kimi benzerlikler taşıdığı görülüyor. Odin de Gandalf gibi uzun sakallı, asa taşıyan yaşlı bir adam olarak anlatılır. Runik alfabeyi insanlara hediye eden kişi, Orta Dünya'da Gandalf, İskandinav mitolojisinde ise Odin'dir. Her ikisi de sıradan insanların anlayamadığı görevler uğruna tek başlarına seyahat ederler. Gandalf'ın atı Shadowfax Orta Dünya'nın en hızlı atıdır, Odin'in sekiz bacaklı atı Sleipnir gibi. Ancak Odin, İskandinav mitolojisinin en üstün tanrısıyken, Gandalf kendisinden üstün güçlerin emirlerine uyar. Ayrıca Odin Gandalf'a göre daha zalimdir ve kişisel hırslara sahiptir.

Tolkien'in eserlerinde, çok iyi bildiği Anglo-Sakson efsanelerinden izler bulmak da mümkün. Savaşlar, silahlar, giyim kuşam, mimari, Kral Arthur efsanelerini andırıyor. Arthur efsanesinin ünlü kılıcı Excalibur'un olağanüstü güçlere sahip olması gibi, Frodo'nun Sting'i ve Aragorn'un Anduril'i de sıradan silahlar değil. Aynı zamanda, bu özel kılıçların kendilerini kullanacak kişi tarafından hak edilmeleri gerekiyor. Aragorn'un athelas yaprağı kullanarak yaralıları çok hızlı iyileştirme yeteneği gibi, Kral Arthur da tanrı vergisi bir iyileştirme gücüne sahipti. Büyücü Gandalf'ın da bu efsanede adı geçen büyücü Merlin ile benzerlikler taşıdığı söylenebilir.

Eski İngilizce ile yazılmış Anglo-Sakson destanı Beowulf, yüzük taşıyıcısı Frodo'nun adının kaynağı... Burada Frodo, bir İskandinav kralının adı olarak geçiyor. Frodo'nun anlamı ise"Yüzük Taşıyıcısı" için oldukça önemli: Bilge kişi... Karanlık efendi Sauron'un ülkesi Mordor, eski İngilizce'de ölümcül günah ya da cinayet anlamına gelen morthor sözcüğünden geliyor.
Orta Dünya'da yaşayan halklar, temelde Tolkien'in yarattığı dilleri konuşan ırklar kurgulaması sonucu ortaya çıktı. Tüm mitolojilerden izler taşıyan bu ırklar, Tolkien tarafından Orta Dünya tarihine uyarlanarak, bu dünya içindeki formlarını buldular.

Gelin de öğrenin Canlı Yaratıklar irfanını! Önce ilk dördünü sayın, yani hür halkları: Hepsinin en yaşlısı, elf çocukları; cüceler hep kazar, karanlıktır evleri; topraktan doğma entler, dağlar kadar ihtiyar; atlara hükmedenler, ölümlü insanlar (İki Kule, s.72)

Tolkien'in yazdığı Orta Dünya tarihine göre ilk yaratılan ırk elfler... Onları ikinci yaratılanlardan, yani insanlardan, ayıran en önemli özellikleri kendilerine özgü ölümsüzlükleri. Tolkien'in elfleri hastalık ve yaşlanma sonucu ölmüyorlar, ancak savaşta, ateş veya kılıçla ya da derin bir umutsuzluk yüzünden hayatlarını kaybediyorlar. Bazıları da Batı Denizinin ötesindeki Ölümsüz Topraklara göçüp Orta Dünya'yı terk ediyor. Efsaneler ve masallarda kullanılan ufak elflerin aksine Tolkien elfleri insan boyutundalar. Bunun sebebi ise Tolkien'in elfleri yaratırken onları muzip ve şakacı ufak periler olarak değil, insanlardan çok daha gelişmiş, üstün güzellikte ve bilgelikte bir halk olarak anlatması.

Tolkien elfleri ve cüceleri birbirlerini pek sevmeyen halklar olarak anlatıyor. İki ırk arasındaki düşmanlığın bir benzerine İskandinav mitolojisinde de rastlıyoruz: Kuzey efsanelerinde de cüceler, ışığın ve havanın yaratıkları olan elfleri kıskanıyorlar. Tolkien'in cücelerinin, elflerden ve insanlardan farkları Tanrı İlùvatar tarafından değil, demirci Aulë tarafından yaratılmış olmaları. Orta Dünya'da cüceler, Aulë gibi demircilikte ve taş işçiliğinde usta, kısa boylu, fakat dayanıklı ve cesur savaşçılar.

Yüzükler Efendisi'nde karşılaştığımız çok ilginç bir halk da entler. Bu halk, boyu dört buçuk metreyi bulan dev ağaçadamlardan oluşuyor. Ent sözcüğünün kökünde ve Eski İngilizce'de dev anlamına gelen enta sözcüğü olduğu söylenebilir. Yürüyen ve savaşan ağaçlardan oluşan bir orman daha önce de Shakespeare tarafından Macbeth'de kullanılmıştı. Fakat bu, ağaç kılığına girmiş askerlerden oluşan sahte bir ormandı. Tolkien belki de bu yürüyen orman fikrinin gerçek olması gerektiğini düşündüğünden entlerin öyküsünü anlattı.
Yüzüklerin Efendisi'nde önemli rol oynayan hobbitler kovuklarda yaşayan, barışçı, neşeli ve sürekli aç dolaşan bir halk.

Tüm iyi halkların ortak düşmanları orklar/goblinler ve troller ise Orta Dünya'nın kötülüğe hizmet eden ırkları. Tolkien, orkların Melkor'un zindanlarında tutsak ettiği ve sonsuz işkencelerle özlerini bozarak hizmetine aldığı elfler olduğu söylüyor. Melkor'un işkenceleriyle kararan yürekleri yüzünden efendilerinin emirlerini isteksizce, korkuya dayanan bir bağlılıkla yerine getiriyorlar. Tolkien'in orkları/goblinleri İskandinav efsanelerinin büyüyle yaratılan kötücül canavarlarına benziyorlar.

Aynen canım Extended çıkarılan sahneler oluyor o kadar çok sahne çıkarmışlar ki izlesen uçarsın valla...Ben izlemiştim 2-3 yıl önce bayıldım şimdide youtube'dan bakmakla yetiniyorum hem fotolarıda oradan çektim...

faramir&éowyn sahnelerinin nerdeyse tamamı çıkarılmış zaten normal filmde sadece bir karede görünüyorlar ama Extended'larda baya görünüyorlar...Türkiye'de bulmak zor sanırım bende yeğenim sayesinde izlemiştim arkadaşı yurtdışından getirtmiş üzerine birde alt yazı ekleyince süper oldu...

Ayy daha bi heyecanlandım şimdi:):)
EEt baya sahne çıkarılmış diye duydum ama napcaksısın kısa ve öz olması lazım:(ki bunu başardıda:):)
Valla sabırsızlandım arakadaşım bulmuşdu nası bulduysa hemen getirsin:):)bende çekerim resim:)

Aydancım süpersin yani ne diyim bilemiyorum :happy0064 o sahneleri o kadar merak ediyodum ki sağol canım. madem youtube da var ordan izlerim artık :img-yes: ben de filmi izlerken Faramir ve Eowyn in ne kadar az sahnesi var diyodum. yaralı hallerini filan görmeyi bekliyodum ama demek o kadar çekip bi de çıkarmışlar. e napsınlar film zaten 3 saat :)

filmin uzun versiiyonunda (eklenen resimlerde de var onları görünce aklıma geldi zaten) gimliyle legolasın bira içme yarışında ki muhabbet biraz saçma gelmişti bana.Hobbit kitabını okuyan arkadaşlar bilirler Orman Elfleri bira konusunda baya bi bilgilidirler ama sahnenin komikliğine gimlinin en sondaki bakışına bunu atlıyorum :D

Aragorn ve bölüğü Dunharrow’a vardığında Lady Eowyn karşıladı onları ve gelişlerine mutlu oldu. Çünkü Dunedain’dan ve Elrond’un zarif oğullarından daha kudretli adam görmemişti o güne kadar; fakat en çok Aragorn’un üzerinde durdu bakışları.
‘‘Çok acil bir göreve gidiyorum’’ dedi Aragorn. Eowyn ona gülümseyerek: ‘‘O halde lordum yolunuzdan bu kadar mesafe uzaklaşıp sürgündeki Eowyn’e haber getirmeniz çok büyük bir incelikti.’’ ‘‘Aslında hiçbir insan böyle bir yolculuğu kayıp sanmaz’’ dedi Aragorn. ‘‘yine de leydim eğer gideceğim yol Dunhorrow’a getiriyor olmasaydı buraya gelmezdim.’’
Eowyn duyduğu cevaptan hoşlanmayarak ‘‘O halde lordum’’ dedi. ‘‘yolunuzu şaşırmışsınız; Tapanvadi’den ne doğuya ne güneye hiç yol gitmez; o yüzden geldiğiniz yoldan dönseniz fena olmaz.’’
‘‘Yo leydim’’ dedi Aragorn, ‘‘yolumu şaşırmadım çünkü ben, siz daha doğup bu toprakları şereflendirmeden önce bu topraklar üzerinde yürümüştüm. Yarın ölülerin yolundan gideceğim.’’

Bunun üzerine Eowyn ona çarpılmış gibi baktı, yüzünün rengi attı ve hepsi sessiz sessiz otururken o da uzun süre konuşmadı. ‘‘Fakat Aragorn’’ dedi sonunda Eowyn ‘‘ölümü aramak mı senin görevin? Çünkü o yolda bulacağın bu. Onlar canlıların geçmesine izin vermezler.’’

‘‘Benim geçmeme izin verecekler’’ dedi Aragorn. Bunun üzerine daha fazla konuşmadılar ve sessizlik içinde kaldılar fakat Eowyn’in gözleri hep Aragorn’un üzerindeydi ve diğer herkes onun için azap ettiğini fark ettiler.

Bir süre sonra Aragorn Eowyn’den izin isteyip ayrıldı. Legolas ve Gimli ile bir araya geleceği yere gidince Eowyn peşinden gelerek oana seslendi. Aragorn döndü ve onu gece içinde bir parıltı olarak gördü, çünkü leydi beyazlara bürünmüştü; ama gözleri ateş ateşti.
‘‘Aragorn, neden bu ölümcül yola gitmen gerek?’’
‘‘Çünkü gitmem gerekiyor. Ancak böyle olursa Sauron’a karşı yapılan savaşta kendi üstüme düşeni yapmak için bir ümidim olacak. Tehlikeli yoları ben seçmiyorum Eowyn’’

‘‘Senin görevin halkının yanında’’ diye cevap verdi Aragorn.
‘‘Görevim sık sık hatırlatıldı bana, ama ben bir dadı değilim Rohan’ın muhafız kızı değil miyim!!
‘‘Leydim siz kralınız geri dönünceye kadar halkınızı yöneteceğinize dair verilen görevi kabul etmediniz mi?’’ dedi Aragorn.
‘‘Hep ben mi seçileceğim? Süvariler şan, şeref kazanmaya gittiklerinde eve göz kulak olup geri döndüklerinde yiyecek ve yatak bulsunlar diye hep ben mi geride kalacağım?’’
‘‘Yakında öyle bir zaman gelebilir ki, kimse geri dönmeyebilir. O zaman şan, şöhret kazanmadan yiğitlik yapmak gerekecek, çünkü yurdunuzu korurken yaptıklarınızı hatırlayacak kimse kalmayacak.

Göz göze geldiler Eowyn bakışlarıyla tutmuştu, Aragorn’da kızın içtenliği ve yürekliliği karşısında saygıyla hafifçe eğilrek doğruldu. Ona: ‘‘Kalın leydim’’ dedi. Yine de kendini Eowyn’in bakışlarından alarak. ‘‘Çünkü sizin güneyde bir işiniz yok.’’
Bunun üzerine Eowyn: ‘‘Seninle gelen diğerlerinin de yok. Ama onlar senden ayrılmak istemedikleri için geliyorlar, seni sevdikleri için geliyorlar.’’ Ve Aragorn’un karşısında durmaya devam etti buğulu gözleriyle.
Ayrılma vakti geldiğinde; Legolas ve Gimli Aragorn ile bir araya geldi yolculuk için son hazırlıklarda kontrol edildiği anda Eowyn silahını kuşanarak bir süvari gibi giyinerek elinde bir kupayla geldi. Kupayı dudaklarına götürüp hızla gitmelerini temenni ederk biraz içti, sonra kupayı Aragorn’a verdi; içerek şöyle dedi Aragorn: ‘‘Hoşça kal Rohan’ın hanımı’’
Legolas ve Gimli’ye Eowyn ağlamış gibi geldi. Böylesine sert ve mağrur birinde bu görüntü onlarıda üzmüştü.
Fakat kız şöyle dedi: ‘‘Aragorn gidecek misin?’’ ‘‘Gideceğim’’ ‘‘Peki senden istemiş olduğum gibi benimde sizinle at sürmeme izin vermeyecek misin?’’
‘‘Hayır leydim, Hoşça kal’’
Bunun üzerine kız dizleri üzerine çöktü ve şöyle dedi: ‘‘Yalvarırım sana!’’
‘‘Hayır leydim’’ dedi Aragorn ve kızı elinden tutarak kaldırdı. Sonra kızın elini öptü, eyerine atladı ve atını sürdü gitti, arkasına hiç bakmadı. Ancak onu çok iyi tanıyanlar ve yakınında bulunanlar acıyı görebildiler.
