Sex and the City'nin yakaladığı gişe başarısının ardından, Hollywood yüzünü 90'lı yılların dizilerine döndü ve karşısına Friends çıktı. 1994 yapımı Friends önümüzdeki günlerde sinemaya uyarlanak ve bir salgına dönüşeceği şimdiden belli olan dizi uyarlamaları furyasında başı çekecek.Dizinin film versiyonunda Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc ve David Schwimmer aynı kararkterlerle izleyici karşısına çıkmayı planlıyor.

Warner Bross'un satın aldığı projede Aniston ve Cox'un yapım için çaba sarf ettiği söyleniyor. Aniston'un kendisini meşhur eden Rachel karakteri ile geri dönüşü herkesin merakını uyandırıyor. Salt bu merak bile filmin gişe başarısını garantiliyor.
