Aktris Naomi Watts, Birleşmiş Milletler tarafından AIDS özel temsilcisi seçildi.

BM AIDS'le Mücadele Örgütü (UNAIDS), Watts'ın elçi olarak ''yeteneği ve şöhretini, AIDS konusundaki bilinci yaymak ve dünyada HIV virüsü ile yaşayan insanların sesinin daha fazla duyulmasını sağlamak için kullanacağını'' açıkladı.

Naomi Watts da yaptığı açıklamada, özel temsilci olarak AIDS konusundaki bilincin artmasına küçük de olsa katkıda bulunmayı ve yapılacak çalışmalara daha fazla uluslararası destek verilmesini teşvik etmeyi umduğunu söyledi.

Watts, kısa bir süre önce UNAIDS heyetiyle birlikte Zimbabwe'ye yaptığı ziyaret sırasında klinikleri, hastaneleri, okulları ve sığınakları ziyaret etmişti.

Cronenberg Karanlığına Sarışın Işık

Watss kralın yanına yakıştı

David Cronenberg’in Eastern Promises’inden ve Viggo Mortensen’in verdiği sözden bahsetmiştik. Variety’nin bildirdiğine göre ünlü yönetmen karanlığına yakışır bir isim seçti ve Cannes Film Festivali’nde kadın başrolü Naomi Watts’a verdiğini ilan etti.

Londra’da bir hastanede doğum yapan bir genç kadın hayatını kaybeder. Gördüklerinden çok etkilenen bir hemşire ise elinde bebekle, kızın kim olduğunu öğrenmeye ve bebeği aileye teslim etmeye çalışır.

Ancak karanlığın gün ışığına çıkması uzun sürmeyecek ve güzel hemşirenin karşısına Rus mafyası dikilecektir. Watts’ın Anna adlı bir hemşireyi canlandıracağı filmde Mortensen de Nikolai adlı bir Rus olarak karşımıza çıkacak.

Cronenberg filminin çekimlerine Kasım’da başlayacak. Arada geçen zamanda ise Watts’ın Michael Haneke’nin Ölümcül Oyunlar’ın remake’indeki görevinin bitmesi beklenecek.

King Kong filminin güzel yıldızı Naomi Watts, Birleşmiş Milletler'in AIDS için yürüttüğü yardım kampanyasına katıldı. BM yetkilileri ile sivil toplum kuruluşlarının da katıldığı kampanyada, herkes yakasına AIDS'le mücadelenin sembolü olan kırmızı kurdele taktı ve kırmızı şemsiyeler altında toplandı. Watts'a, kampanyada ünlü yazar Mary Fisher ve Birleşmiş Milletler AIDS Programı'nın Başkanı Doktor Peter Piot eşlik etti.

Sinema sektörü basın organı Variety´nin internet sitesinde yer alan habere göre, "Nip/Tuck" dizisinin yaratıcısı Ryan Murphy, yeni projesinde Nicole Kidman ve Naomi Watts ile birlikte çalışacak. Yönetmenliğini Murphy´nin üstleneceği filmin yapımcıları Todd Black ile Jason Blumenthal olacak.

Avustralya´da ilk gençlik yıllarından beri birlikte büyüyen ve bu dostluklarını halen sürdüren Kidman ve Watts´ın hayalleri olan ilk ortak projelerinde Watts bir psikiyatristi, Kidman ise onun eşini elinden alan tutarsız hastasını canlandıracak. Ajan Owen, Asistan Watts

Naomi Watts başrolünde Clive Owen'ın olduğu The International (Uluslararası) filminin kadrosunu katıldı. Columbia Pictures'ın distribütörlüğünü üstlendiği bir aksiyon soslu gerilim olarak tanımlanan filmi Tom Tykwer yönetecek.

Filmin merkezinde obsesif bir Interpol ajanının, yüksek profilli bir banka ve bunun dünya çapında yayılmış olan suç olaylarıyla ilişkisini araştırması yer alıyor. Watts da filmde bir avukatlık firmasında asistan olup ajana soruşturmada eşlik eden kişiyi canlandıracak.

Filmin senaryosunu yazan isim Eric Singer . Prodüktörlüğü üstlenen isimlerse Mosaic Media Group'tan Charles Roven ve Richard Suckle ile Lloyd Phillips. Filmin çekimleri Berlin'de gerçekleştirilecek.

Watts, Harry Potter'da

Aktris Naomi Watts altıncı Harry Potter filminde rol alacak. Watts'ın serinin altıncı bölümü olan Harry Potter ve Melez Prens'te Harry'nin azılı düşmanlarından Draco Malfoy'un annesi Narcissa Malfoy'u canlandıracak. Watts'ın yanı sıra Joseph Fiennes da filmin kadrosuna katıldı. Ancak Fiennes'in hangi karakteri canlandıracağı konusunda bilgi verilmedi. Bilindiği gibi Fiennes'in abisi Ralph Fiennes seride Harry'nin baş düşmanı Lord Voldemort'u canlandırıyor.

Alfred Hitchcock'un en beğenilen ve üzerinde en çok konuşulan filmlerinden biri kuşkusuz 1963 yapımı Kuşlar'dır. Yönetmenin Daphne du Maurier'in kısa hikayesinden esinlenerek çektiği Kuşlar filmi ciddi araştırmaların ve akademik çalışmaların konusu olmuştur. Sinema tarihinin hiç şüphesiz başyapıt kategorisinde yer alan bu film üzerine öylesine kafa patlatılmıştır ki, filme dair söylenebilecek birşey kalmamıştır.

Ama Hollywood'un yeniden çevirim rüzgarına kapılmış yapımcıları bütün bunları önemseyerek, filmi yeniden beyazperdeye taşımaya karar verdiler. Öyle ki Tippi Hedren'in canlandırdığı karakter için bir oyuncu buldular bile. Naomi Watts yeni Kuşlar'ın Melanie Daniels'ı olacak. Filmin yönetmenliğini Casino Royale'dan tanıdığımız Martin Campbell'ın üstleneceği söyleniyor. Filmin senaryosu Stiles White ve Juliet Snowden tarafından yeniden yazılırken, yapımcılar çekimler için çok acele etmediklerini belirtiyorlar.

Da Vinci Şifresi'nin devamı niteliğindeki Angels&Demons'ın yapımı senaryo yazarlarının grevi nedeniyle ertelenmiş olsa da, kasting çalışmaları devam ediyor. İlk filmde yer alan Tom Hanks ikinci filmde de yer alıyor, ancak kadın oyuncunun kim olduğu bilinmiyorken, bu ismin Naomi Watts olacağı söyleniyor.

Cronenberg'in "Şiddetin Tarihçesi"nde de başrolü emanet ettiği Viggo Mortensen'in başı çektiği yıldızlardan oluşan oyuncu kadrosunda Naomi Watts, Vincent Cassel ve usta aktör Armin Mueller-Stahl pırıl pırıl parlıyorlar. Belki hatırlarsınız Naomi Watts Narcissa Malfoy rolü için adı anılan oyunculardan biriydi. Bugün Watts bir açıklama yaparak böyle bir şeyin asla görüşülmediğini söyledi.

Medya dışında hiçbir yerde böyle bir şey duymadım. Ne oyuncu ajansımdan ne de başka bir yerden. Bunun nasıl ortaya çıktığını bilmiyorum.

Fakat Watts Harry Potter serisinin son iki filmi için yeşil ışık yaktı.

Harry Potter kitaplarından bazılarını okudum…çok sevdim. Oğlum çok hoşlanırdı(filmlerden birinde rol almayı kastediyor), bu onu etkilemek için harika bir yol. Tabi bu role da bağlı.

Röportajı yayınlayan MTV sitesi ise Naomi Watts’ın son kitapta Hermione’ın Sihir Bakanlığı’na sızmak için kılığına girdiği cadıyı oynamasını ya da Alecto Carrow’u canlandırmasını önermiş.

Naomi'nin yaşı kaç sizce?

Oyunculuğu ile rol aldığı filmlerin önüne geçebilmiş nadir sanatçılardan biri olan Naomi Watts , 14 yaşında ailesiyle ülkesi İngiltere'den Avustralya'ya taşınır.Liseyi bitirdikten sonra moda editörlüğü,modellik gibi farklı işlerde çalışan Watts,bir tiyatro oyunundan gelen rol teklifiyle oyunculuğa adım attı.

Bu başarının ardından büyük bütçeli filmlerde yer alır ve 2002 yılında kült korku filmi The Ring'in kadrosunda yer alır.Ertesi yıl Sean Penn,Benicio Del Toro ile başrollerini paylaştığı 21 Grams'daki rolüyle Akademi çevrelerinin dikkatini çeker ve en iyi kadın oyuncu dalında Oscar adaylığı gelir.2004 yılında Sean Penn ile tekrar biraraya geldiği The Assassination of Richard Nixon filminde yer alır.2005 yılında The Ring Two filminin kadrosuna tekrar dahil olur.Aynı yıl gişede büyük hasılat getiren King Kong'da yer alır.Bu filmden kazandığı ücretle kendi ticari başarısını da gerçekleştirir.

Filmografisine önemli filmleri ekleyen oyuncu,2006'da Painted Veil filmindeki rol arkadaşı Liev Scheibeder ile birlikte ve ikilinin bir erkek çocukları var.

Mayıs ayında ülkemizde gösterime girecek olan Funny Games filminde yer alan 40 yaşındaki aktris, 2008 yapım tarihli The International filmindeki rolüyle izleyicilerle buluşacağı günü bekliyor ve sinemaya oyunculuğuyla çok yakışıyor.

1974 yılı. Samuel J. Bicke, büyük politik skandalların yaşandığı soğuk kış aylarında 40 yaşlarında ve hayata tutunmaya çalışan sıradan bir insandır. Attığı her adımda sorunlarla karşılaşan Bickle çevresi tarafından göz ardı edilmektedir. Ayrıldığı karısı Marie tekrar birleşme isteğini sürekli geri çevirir.

İş hayatında sürekli başarısız olmasından dolayı ağabeyi Julius'la arası açılmıştır. Ve özel hayatı bu kadar kötü giderken aslında yapmaktan hoşlanmadığı satıcılık işini kaybetme tehlikesiyle karşı karşıyadır. Yalan söylemekten nefret eden Bicke ofis mobilyası satan bir mağazada gün içinde sürekli yalan söylemesini gerektiren işinde son derece zorlanmaktadır.

Bicke'nin kötü giden hayatındaki tek hayali ise arkadaşı Bonny ile birlikte kurmayı planladıkları kapıdan kapıya lastik tamir servisidir. Fakat bu işi kurmak için banka kredisine ihtiyaçları vardır. Bicke kredi için başvurur ve değerlendirme sürecininden çıkacak sonucu beklemeye koyulur. Sürekli bir stres altındadır çünkü çıkacak sonucun hayatına anlam katabilecek tek şey olduğuna inanmaktadır. Endişesi arttıkça hayatının paramparça olduğu hissine daha da fazla kapılan Bicke, baktığı her yerde iki yüzlülük ve adaletsizlik görmeye başlar.

Üç çocuklarının geçimini sağlamak için bir barda çalışan eski karısının mini etekle servis yapmak zorunda olmasını yanlış bulur. Ya da Bonny’nin zenci olmasından dolayı garajına gelen müşterilerinin ona farklı davranmasını kabullenemez./ film.gen.tr
